Soccer is only popular in countries outside the United States because those countries don't have the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc. Soccer will never matter in the United States.

Living Faith Church has around 5 million members. Redeemed Christian Church has around 10 million members. Christ Embassy may have around 3 million members. The entire Catholic church and Anglican combined have around 30 million members. The Lord's chosen may have around 1 million members. The rest of the Pentecostal churches may have members in excess of 10 million combined. The Christian Association of Nigeria CAN which comprises all the churches, if it wills can easily mobilize 60 million voters towards voting not just the only Christian, but the youngest and most qualified and brilliant Christian in the race Peter Obi and deliver Nigeria to the promised land. All the Pastors have the hearts and ears of their members and their members will vote anyone they decide. Even if you minus the number of ineligible voters, such as underaged or those who aren't just predisposed to the trouble of registering, collecting PVC and turning up at the polling unit, you can still round up half that figure which is 30 million people to vote Peter Obi of the Labour Party. Buhari "won" the 2015 and 2019 election with far less 30 million voters. Let the Pastors and Christian clergy lead the campaign to install Peter Obi and nobody can stop them...this is the Gospel! We must do everything possible to ensure Peter Obi becomes the next President of Nigeria for the sake of Nigerian people.

Oga Pitobi, you can write 50 paragraphs every morning and quote all the textbooks in the world, but the bitter truth remains: you are an analyst, not a ruler. Keep analyzing from the sidelines while Asiwaju is doing the actual work of governance. You will never smell Aso Rock—just enjoy your status as the permanent President of Twitter. We don't need a president who his special advisor is a mad man.

Accountable Borrowing: The South Africa Example. I have consistently maintained that borrowing, in itself, is not a bad thing. Every nation borrows. The critical issue is not the act of borrowing, but what the borrowed funds are used for and whether citizens can clearly see and measure the impact of such borrowing in their daily lives. There is a lot to learn in the open and transparent manner in which South Africa handled its recently secured a $1 billion loan from the New Development Bank, with a clearly defined purpose. Publicly announcing the targeted purpose of the loan for all to know and monitor, upgrading water supply systems, modernising sanitation infrastructure, improving electricity distribution, and strengthening waste management services across eight major metropolitan cities, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban. This is indeed what accountable borrowing should look like; the purpose is clear, the projects are identifiable, and the expected benefits to citizens are measurable. Such investments directly improve living conditions, enhance productivity, and stimulate economic growth. In Nigeria, however, the opposite is the case: public debt has risen dramatically under the current administration, and its deployment is shrouded in secrecy from the people who will indeed pay back the loan. Today, our total public debt has increased from about ₦87 trillion in 2023 to nearly ₦200 trillion. Yet, despite this unprecedented accumulation of debt, Nigerians are often left without a clear and detailed account of how these borrowings are being deployed to improve critical sectors such as education, healthcare, power, security, and infrastructure. Borrowing must never become an end in itself. Every loan obtained in the name of the Nigerian people must be tied to specific, productive investments capable of generating economic value, creating jobs, reducing poverty, and improving the welfare of citizens. Good governance demands transparency and accountability. The government must be able to clearly explain what was borrowed, where it was invested, and what measurable outcomes have been achieved. The ordinary Nigerian should be able to see and feel the benefits of every debt incurred on their behalf. At a time when millions of Nigerians are struggling with rising costs of living, unemployment, insecurity, and declining purchasing power, fiscal discipline and prudent management of public resources are no longer optional; they are imperative. Every borrowing decision should answer one simple question: How does this improve the life of the ordinary Nigerian? If that question cannot be convincingly answered, then we risk merely transferring today's burdens to future generations. A New Nigeria is POssible. - PO BRICS bank approves $1 billion lifeline for South Africa’s struggling cities | Business Insider Africa share.google/9EBaaAdSS5EDAq…

@PeterObi This fake bankr has come again to display sheer ignorance and mediocrity. Amongst the basic considerations in lending by any local or multilateral bank are purpose(s), ability to repay etc, and the lender has done its due diligence and advanced such loan. Which is yours? REST

@yaygha I was opporrune to watch all Pele's world cup games, ditto Maradona but I knew Messi would eraze all those in a shortwhile and he did, however, I still respect other perspectives but the fact still remain the one and only GOAT is Messi while others are goats 😎

If it took you this long to realise Messi is the GOAT, you do not know things. I would even argue that the recognition of Messi as the greatest of all time is a reliable litmus test of a person's discernment and the quality of their judgement, broadly speaking. Messi has been the best human to kick the leather ball since he was 21. That conclusion was available long before it became fashionable. Those who reached it early, not out of sporting tribalism, but from a honest appraisal of what they were witnessing demonstrated perceptiveness. Those who saw it late did not. Those who accepted it only after the majority did so are low-T consensus-seekers filtering information through a unanimity filter as a safety mechanism because they are incapable of independently defending their observations. So they do not ask "is this true?" They ask "do the people around me believe this is true?" But I digress. Those who still refuse to see it are living in denial. Either way, "I now accept that Messi is the GOAT" in 2026 is not a good look on the man making the confession.

Dear Lionel Messi, I apologise for ever debating whether you were the greatest of all time. To my mind, your competition was never Cristiano Ronaldo. I was thinking more about Diego Maradona and Pele. I now realise that you are better than both of them. You are better than anyone who has ever kicked a football. I am lucky to have been alive to watch you play. You are the greatest of all time! I bow and tremble. 🙌🏽🙇‍♂️ I am Ezemmuo. I know things.

@WaruiJohn2 What baffles me really is comparing an apple to orange. While Messi is a playmaker cum poacher, CR7 is only a poacher, this gives Messi a wider and better views of his games. Lastly while one chases teams' successes, the other focuses more on personal achievements.

I keep saying the difference between Messi and Ronaldo at their respective ages is one: Ronaldo apart from goals there's nothing else he can help Portugal with Messi even if he doesn't score there are flashes of his link ups and creativity despite him not a good runner right now Two different profiles of players and unfortunately, Ronaldo needs people to create for him but they pulled stinkers today

Genuinely, if Messi wins the World Cup a second time, would that automatically make him the greatest of all time?

@gyaigyimii What a conspiracy? Having a player that sees himself bigger than his team and equally chases personall achievements than his teams' successes is one while another player in all iff and on the field actions and words is a team player. (EOD) End of discussion

I’m not even a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, but I’m genuinely embarrassed for his fans every time I sit through the torture of watching him try to kick a ball for 90 minutes. What is he actually good at these days? At least with Lionel Messi, even when he doesn’t score, he’s still a joy to watch. He can create chances, dictate play, and produce magic. What’s Cristiano Ronaldo good at??

As the World Cup Begins Without Nigeria As the World Cup begins today across three nations, I identify with our teeming football followers and urge them not to be despondent that Nigeria is not participating, despite the abundant talent in our land. Our failure to participate on the global stage is not due to a deficit of talent; it is a direct consequence of a deficit in leadership, planning, and institutional support. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. Do not watch the World Cup with despair; rather, see it as a reminder of where Nigeria ought to be. We must move our country from being a nation of mere consumers of global entertainment to a nation of proud producers and competitors. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
