On the last day of class I have students do a chalk-walk to: give kudos to their peers, share their favorite activities/content, acknowledge an author we read, and remark on how they grew as a person. Such a great way to end the class, and that's a wrap on teaching! 🔚

before genetics, researchers used the question, "when you and your twin were children, were you as alike as two peas in a pod.." to determine if someone is a fraternal or identical twin, and EVERYONE WAS COOL WITH IT. nobody better come for my work cause y'all are wild.

Simpatía is the preference for non-confrontational social interactions, and yet we’re slapped with the fiery Latina stereotype at every turn 💃🏽. Decide already, which one is it?! Also the cites are from like 1989, because Latinxs never change ✌🏽2/2

I’ve fallen down the Latinx “cultural resiliency” pseudoscience rabbit hole today..gente did you know we all have these shared cultural values: simpatía, allocentrism, familism, power distance, personal space, time orientation, and gender roles 1/2

Smoking is unequivocally bad for everyone, but this works shows that we need to think critically about the promises of health promotion interventions and why racialized or marginalized groups don't benefit equally. What are we missing and how can we design systems better?

Every time I open my course reviews I hold my breath expecting the worst.. “inspiring and deep” + “the best ever” + “respects and values her students greatly” was some of the feedback this year 💕💕. Right when I want to quit, the students pull me back in
