Reasons why Nigeria is not working. 1) Absolute impossibility of a national consensus on any issue. 2) Pervasive and destructive influence of powerful vested interest.

There's no way Man Utd will defeat Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge, the best result Man Utd is getting will be a draw.

🇳🇬 JUST IN - APC Shuts Down Automatic Tickets as Internal Crisis Worsens and Members Threaten Defections Nationwide The All Progressives Congress (APC) is heading toward a major internal crisis that could trigger fresh defections ahead of the 2027 elections. National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda has shut down demands for automatic tickets, stating clearly that there is “no automatic ticket in the party’s constitution.” That decision has put defected governors and long time party loyalists on a collision course. Across multiple states, the fight is now about control. Defected governors are moving to take over party structures and delegate systems using state power and political machinery. Old guard members are pushing back, insisting they will not be pushed aside after building the party. In Akwa Ibom, the division is already open. “We have two blocs in APC… the old bloc… and the new bloc,” a party chieftain admitted. The power struggle between Governor Umo Eno and Senate President Godswill Akpabio is a major flashpoint, with warnings of a “serious crisis” if any side is favoured. In Delta State, the entry of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has triggered a full scale battle for control of the party structure. In Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s alignment has reopened the fight with Nyesom Wike’s camp. The same pattern is playing out in Plateau State, Bayelsa State, and Enugu State. Parallel meetings, rival factions, and open mistrust are now the norm. In Adamawa State, the fallout has started. Governorship aspirant Maurice Vunobolki has already resigned, citing plans to impose candidates. His exit signals what could spread if the crisis deepens. Bottom line, both sides want control of tickets. Nobody is backing down. If this is not resolved before primaries, the APC risks going into 2027 divided, with real chances of defections from both camps.

@Faiz_WIN @thecableng What am emphasising here is you're FREE to state your 'opinion' about the affairs of the world including sovereign countries (it's called Freedom of Expression and its a universal right). Saying nobody can comment about the affairs of any nation is not possible.

@arewegabriel @thecableng As a Nigerian, I have no business telling the American Congressmen what to do with their President, except of course he has become a threat to the entire world as he truly is today. America is no respecter of other nations and it shows daily. This is my point.

US lawmaker asks Tinubu to redeploy Matawalle, cites ‘red flags’ in security report Kimberly Daniels, Florida state representative and chairwoman of the United World Congress of Diplomats (UN-WCD), has called for the removal or redeployment of Bello Matawalle, minister of state for defence, over concerns raised in a security assessment report on Nigeria. Daniels made the call in a statement on Tuesday while releasing a report on Nigeria’s security crisis and recent killings in the north-central and north-west regions. thecable.ng/us-lawmaker-as…

As a Nigerian woman, I already know I’m not signing up for a traditional kind of marriage. You’ll handle your own chores, clean up after yourself, and know your way around the kitchen too. It’s not going to be that old dynamic where the woman does everything and suffers in silence. If things go left, I’ll walk away without hesitation. I’m not scared of leaving. That era is done. I have options and I’ll use them

@thecableng Though Matawalle has no business being in government of any kind, but the US has no right to dictate to Nigeria how to run our country.
