On 10 June 2026, Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji completes 4,399 consecutive days in office, surpassing the 4,398 days of India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji, to become the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in the history of our Republic. Pause for a moment and reflect on what this truly means. India is not a nation in the ordinary sense. It is a civilisation of 1.4 billion souls. A land of 22 scheduled languages and hundreds of dialects; of many faiths, castes, communities and creeds; of countless regions and walks of life, living side by side. We are the world's largest democracy, with an electorate of nearly 98 crore, more than the people living in all of Europe. This makes ours perhaps the most complex electoral exercise across the globe. And yet, out of these 1.4 billion people, the same leader has been entrusted with the nation: again, and again, and again. 2014. 2019. 2024. Three successive mandates from the people of India, each one a renewed act of faith. To win the trust of so vast and diverse a nation even once is remarkable. To win it three times over, without a break, is extraordinary. Consider, too, how different the two eras are. Pandit Nehru ji earned his mandate in the formative decades of the Republic, an age of one-party dominance in which the Congress towered over a young and fragmented opposition. Narendra Modi ji has earned his in a far more demanding democracy: the age of coalitions, of powerful regional forces and fierce multi-party competition. And he has met that challenge in full: winning absolute majorities in his own right in 2014 and 2019 (the first single-party majorities since 1984), and then forging and leading a victorious coalition in 2024. To command the trust of so fiercely contested a nation, mandate after mandate, is by any measure the harder achievement. On this historic occasion, I bow to the wisdom of the Indian voter and salute the Hon'ble Prime Minister's tireless devotion to the nation. जब भी आप ट्रेन से सफर करते होंगे तो आपने देखा होगा कि अब प्लेटफॉर्म पर सभी तरह की सुविधाएं मिल जाती हैं. प्लेटफॉर्म पर खाने पीने के सामान से लेकर किताबों तक सब मिल जाता है. लेकिन, कभी आपने गौर किया है कि स्टेशन पर दवाइयों की दुकानें नहीं होती हैं. शायद ही कोई ऐसा स्टेशन होगा, जहां दवाइयों के लिए अलग से दुकान होगी. तो क्या आप जानते हैं कि आखिर ऐसा है क्यों, स्टेशन पर मेडिकल जैसी सर्विस की दुकानें क्यों नहीं होती हैं? तो आज समझते हैं कि स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म पर मेडिकल शॉप्स क्यों नहीं होती है. आपको बता दें कि जिस तरह रेलवे प्लेटफॉर्म पर दूसरी दुकानें अलॉट होती हैं, वैसे ही पहले मेडिकल शॉप्स भी अलॉट हुआ करती थीं. रेलवे के आधिकारिक दस्तावेजों के अनुसार, साल 2001 में रेलवे बोर्ड ने यह स्पष्ट किया था कि डॉक्टर की सुविधा वाले रेलवे स्टेशनों पर केमिस्ट स्टॉल के लिए अधिकतम 108 वर्ग फुट जगह पर्याप्त मानी जाएगी. वहीं, अगर केवल दवा बेचने के लिए बुकस्टॉल के अंदर एक छोटा मेडिसिन कॉर्नर बनाया जाता है, तो उस पर 108 वर्ग फुट की न्यूनतम/अधिकतम जगह वाली शर्त लागू नहीं होगी. इसका मतलब पहले दवा की दुकान के लिए जगह दी जाती थी. रेलवे के नए नियमों के अनुसार, अब दवाइयों को मल्टी पर्पज स्टॉल में बदल दिया गया है. पहले तीन तरह की दुकानें खोली जाती थीं, जिसमें बुकस्टॉल, केमिस्ट स्टॉल और अलग-अलग सामानों की दुकान शामिल थीं. लेकिन, इससे प्लेटफॉर्म पर भीड़ होती थी और यात्रियों के लिए जगह कम बचती थी. ऐसे में अब तीनों दुकानों का एक में शामिल करके मल्टी पर्पज स्टॉल खोले जा रहे हैं. यानी अब स्टेशन पर दवा की दुकान की जगह एमपीएस होंगे. इन स्टॉल्स पर डॉक्टर की पर्ची के बिना बिकने वाली आम दवाइयां बिकेंगी. ये इन दुकानों पर ही बेची जा सकेगी. साथ ही अब सिर्फ नई दवा की दुकान के लिए स्पेस नहीं दिया जाएगा. लेकिन, इन नियमों के अलावा अब सरकार कई स्टेशन पर जन औषधि केंद्र खोलने पर काम कर रही है. वहीं, ए वन स्टेशन पर भी हेल्थ सुविधाओं को लगातार बेहतर करने पर काम कर रही है. अभी भारत में सिर्फ 21 स्टेशन हैं, जहां अलग से मेडिकल स्टोर काम कर रहे हैं. #IndianRailways #RailwayStation #TrainTravel #RailwayFacts #ATCard #AajTakSocial

I have no hate for India, but the truth is hard to ignore. Anthropic was founded in 2021, and today raises $65B at a $965B massive valuation. At the same time, India has IT giants founded in 19XX and today stuck below a $90B valuation. Indian companies earn thousands of crores every year, but spend barely 1% on research. American companies spend 10% to 25% to build new technology. That is why India is far behind in AI. They build products. We use products. They create technology. We download apps. They build AI. We wait for access. They design chips. We buy them. India is slowly becoming a digital slave, fully dependent on technology made by other countries. Making ice cream from A2 milk is not an innovation. It is a business made for profit. Real innovation is building things the world depends on. AI. Chips. Operating systems. Robotics. Deep tech. That is what changes countries. Right now others are building the future. India is watching, consuming, and falling further behind.

Capitalism was kept in check by the Soviet Union till the 1990s. So many nice policies that western governments in Europe and US implemented were out of fear of communism, fear that people may revolt. Once that threat was gone, the politicians started favoring corporates more and more. Ever since then, capitalism has slowly become completely unhinged because of zero competition. The world needs a strong pushback against these monopolist corporate powers.
