@arguingpagan

Alt account I use to argue with people about stuff (mostly religion/spirituality) I don’t want to bother my normal followers with. (They/He)

@HLRacketeer @CantEverDie @rjohnson344453 I feel like being able to say that this is a 100% believable thing that a redneck would say after trying chicken tikka masala for the first time is one of the things that made having to grow up and live in Georgia for almost 30 years worthwhile.

@arguingpagan @nyaraVT Again, we're not talking about gay rights. LGB people didn't attack the rights of others. The trans community does. Do females have the right to female only spaces?

Honestly.. I’m so tired of transphobia. Transphobes refuse to understand anything because they feel powerful when being cruel. They know their belief system is unreasonable, objectively wrong and yet they cling on to it because “equality is oppressing them.”

“NyArA mAkEs ThE tRaNs CoMmUnItY lOoK bAd” I honestly wish I had the platform and power to influence public perception of trans people.. but I’m literally just a tiny, powerless trans fox girl that wants society to stop bullying trans kids into ending themselves.

@Average02200657 @nyaraVT Lol, literally wrong about trans people. I never said Kirk deserved to get shot in front of his kids, but if you needed to put words in my mouth just to give yourself an out, thanks for saving me the time. 👋

@sk22_rm @Average02200657 @nyaraVT Lol, which ones apply to trans people, and what are the reasons? Also, “let’s have a civil discussion” is hilariously either disingenuous or ignorant of what Kirk was doing and the function it served.

@sk22_rm @Average02200657 @nyaraVT No, the parallels are fear mongering and ignorance from people like you. I’m hard pressed to believe you’ve never seen this pic. “More extreme issues” and “degeneracy” are vague and nebulous, be specific. I also learned about gay sex in 2004 as a hs freshman. That’s not new.

@arguingpagan @Average02200657 @nyaraVT Not really, that wouldnt even make sense unless your parallel is leave the kids alone, which if you take issue with that -redacted- Pretty much everything, it moved onto the more extreme issues, degeneracy is much more common, teaching kids in school how to have gay sex, etc.

@sk22_rm @Average02200657 @nyaraVT There’s a direct parallel to things people were saying about gay people then and things people say about trans people now. Don’t even play. What things did people say would happen that happened?

@arguingpagan @Average02200657 @nyaraVT Its incomparable and I know you know that, besides most of what people said would happen if we let gays get married happened so I dont think you want to go this route

@Average02200657 @nyaraVT I know. I’m saying how you people talk about trans rights is indistinguishable from how people talked about gay rights 20 years ago because transphobia is just recycled homophobia.

@nyaraVT You don't want equality. You want special treatment. You're fine with other groups such as females having less rights.

@redfollowsred That’s just nonsensical. By that logic, someone who only has partial or mild androgen insensitivity would technically be a female, and therefore a woman, even if their phenotype more resembles modal males because of that mutated AR gene. You’re grasping at straws, at this point.

@arguingpagan That the program is started due to the entire necessary condition written earlier not just the last phrase. Everything after gene is flavor, but the necessary condition ended there.

@arguingpagan the op of the other thread blocked me, but i never addressed your argument in the first place, because your argument is pic related. i'm simply pointing to people you speak that bullshit to, that gender schema theory doesn't support what you claim.

@redfollowsred What is a comma meant to clarify? Even if there are possible mutations that allow for ovarian differentiation, CAIS women break that characteristic. This is an issue beyond the disjunction. Your necessary characteristic comes from a false premise that doesn’t hold up.

@arguingpagan there's a comma missing after gene, for clarity. regardless, that's what the disjunction is there for: FALSE or TRUE = TRUE

@redfollowsred Except mutated AR genes don’t permit ovarian differentiation. Women born with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome still develop testes, albeit internally rather than externally, so that part of your necessary characteristic rests on a false premise.

@arguingpagan for example, some people have some fragmented SRY genes in an X chromosome, but ultimately they're so rare that they might aswell not be there, thus not fulfilling the necessary condition

@redfollowsred Unless your next reply is going to explain how that relates to your necessary condition, I’m just going to assume you don’t actually have one.

@arguingpagan someone may indeed know all english phrases and be very knowledgeable about the language, but also he may be mute! he has all the language in his brain, but without the proper mechanism to transmit it audibly, he may aswell not speak it! see where im going with this?

@arguingpagan here is an example of a compound statement used as a valid necessary condition in the context of anatomy: "It is necessary that a joint is uniaxial, biaxial or multiaxial in order to be classified as a diarthrosis".

@redfollowsred Taxonomy is classification in generally. It’s most commonly associated with species, but not just regarding that. Here, what the compound statement you believe to be a necessary characteristic? I’m pretty sure I can explain why you’re wrong.

@arguingpagan Taxonomy? That's the classification of species. We're talking anatomy, the classification of body parts and systems.

@redfollowsred Those aren’t characteristics related to taxonomy, though. It doesn’t map onto what I’m saying. Necessary characteristics can’t be either/or, that makes them sufficient characteristics for cluster/familial categories. So, what I’m hearing is you don’t have a…

@arguingpagan no idea which other guy you're referring to, so i don't know what's this about, but we're talking about the trait 100% female people share, which already was communicated to you, and to you woman is not a sex category but a "gender/self identification" one so that's irrelevant?
