Hey @USGA The last qualifier I played in was in 2022, in 32* weather with rain and wind. The average score was almost 81. I shot 91 after being 1 under through 3. Made 2 quick doubles and then had to press on a golf course and in conditions you just can’t press on. Many more doubles ensued. I’m still a +2 but apparently can’t attempt to qualify 4 years later. “Rules are rules” ok sure, but that’s an idiotic cop out. Would like to go through qualifying at Pasatiempo where I just shot a 67 the first time out. Apparently the USGA doesn’t think I have the “ability” though. SMDH…

Team B gets zero. But if they were in a conference with the national champion, they would get a payout. Their last NC was 1988. That's 37 years without any payout. Arkansas sucks, and since we joined the SEC in 1992, we would've gotten 15 partial payouts in this scenario. That's better than zero!

@joewheat27 Strength of schedule didn’t play much of a factor except for Alabama’s case. Go look at A&M schedule besides ND and Texas. This is about wins, and only wins. If ND goes undefeated they are in the playoffs. Go look at ND schedule for 2027-2032. Give me a break dork.

There wasn’t any logic waiting to move UM ahead of ND if Conf championship game outcomes are inconsequential. If Head to head was a factor, you had it all year. This isn’t a serious committee. It’s a made for TV event. Expand and get rid of the committee. BCS was a better formula. For ND, you now know 11-1 is the worst you can do to secure a spot in this current playoff format.

I can make sense of most of this but a couple questions: How is Notre Dame two full spots ahead of Miami? In what world should 9-3 Texas be ahead of 10-2 Vanderbilt in the pecking order? And do we really have to waste two spots on the ACC and G5?
