Congratulations !!! Got my first client and also got good rating from that. But getting another client has been sooo difficult. How did you keep getting ?

@thedigitor__ @_morrisx That first phase is really the hardest. Once you break in, everything changes. 300 applications is no joke, that persistence is exactly what most people lack. That same consistency is what we build around at Ariesphereinc.

5 years ago, it wasn't this bad. At least buying connect was not this expensive as it is now. The challenge was mostly getting that first client Honestly, i just kept applying. I've applied to over 300 jobs on upwork and it was after 50+ applications before I got my first client. But after that, it became much better.

I've spent over 6 years freelancing on Upwork and I grew to top rated plus in less than 2 years. I know I don't talk about it alot but today's Easter and I'm feeling extra generous. Plus, I don't know how to gatekeep. So ask me any question you have about Upwork, Freelancing/Remote work. I'll be answering the first 20 persons.

@EnumaSandra @NanouuSymeon Same here honestly. Fiverr can feel hit or miss, but Upwork gives you more control once you understand how it works.

@thedigitor__ Don’t air me! What would you suggest/advise a freelancer with 5 years experience who’s no longer a noob when hunting for jobs on Upwork?

I got an invite for a job on upwork in November, last year. They asked me to prepare a quote for the job. I did and capped it at $1500 for the 2 phases. They ghosted me and sent a message today that they took the quote I gave them,gave it to another person who has done phase 1 and part of phase 2 and now they want me to complete what the person has done. I probed to know who the developer was because I'm wondering why they didn't have the person finish the job. Realised that she charged $2,200 for doing just part of the job.😂 I feel like a joke to myself. Me thinking they ghosted because the price was on the high side. Alas,they took another person who is more expensive. This person did their job as her second job on upwork and she doesn't remotely have something similar to what they wanted as a portfolio. I'm just trying to understand alot of things.😅 I just dey laugh myself since I see am. I won't do that job if they don't pay me what I negotiate sha. They should look for someone else if they wouldn't pay me what I negotiate for.

@NanouuSymeon I’d go with Upwork. It’s not the easiest at the start, but once it clicks, it really clicks. That’s the same approach we’re taking at Ariesphereinc.
