@aakashgupta "use a tablespoon of each and toss the rest a year later" Um...what? You can make a healthier version of orange chicken and eat it every single day for however long the ingredients last. Why would you make it once and throw everything away?

Panda's food cost on that plate is around $3. They sell it to you for ~$11. If you tried to make it at home you probably spent $15 on ingredients and an hour of your life to lose this race. Here's why the scale math is brutal. Panda buys boneless chicken thighs at wholesale: around $2/lb, sometimes less on contract. The same cut at your grocery store runs $3-5/lb. You're paying a 2x retail markup before you've turned on the stove. Then stack the ingredient tax. Orange chicken at home needs cornstarch, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, orange juice, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and frying oil. Each bottle costs $3-8. You use a tablespoon of each and toss the rest a year later. Panda buys these inputs in drums and the per-plate seasoning cost rounds to zero. Labor is where the comparison breaks. A Panda cook plates 200-300 entrees per shift. Marginal labor is ~90 seconds at ~$18/hr, so about $0.50 of labor per tray. You spent 45 minutes on yours. At any honest hourly rate, the time cost more than the meal. Panda sells 115 million pounds of orange chicken a year. At that volume, they're functionally a food manufacturer with 2,400 retail outlets. The plate is the last step in a commodities pipeline. A chain running 90-second wok labor on commodity chicken beats your home kitchen every time. That's the whole business.

Panda Express makes no sense to me in an economic level this would have cost me more to make for myself

@AxiomMarkets Meh. Markets will shrug. Even if a "crash/stagflation/correction/insert-fear-here" Big money will buy Retail will be liquidity Those prepared will grow wealth exponentially like before Those unprepared will play blame game New ATH eventually as ATLs do not exist for the market.

8/ The setup nobody is pricing: Oil stays at $90+ through summer. May CPI prints at 3.4% in June. Fed holds in July. Markets realize there are ZERO cuts in 2026. That's a repricing of the entire curve. Tech gets hammered. Small caps crater. Dollar rips. And we start 2027 in a full stagflation regime.

🚨POWELL HAS A PROBLEM🚨 Oil is at $95. CPI is about to rip. His successor gets named in weeks. He can't cut rates — inflation will explode. He can't hike rates — the market will crash. He can't do nothing — the credibility of the Fed dies. This is the trap. And there's no way out.🧵⬇️

I’m just gonna say it how it is. The United States has an amazing run. So good, they could leverage $39 TRILLION DOLLARS in debt. But nothing. And no empire lasts forever it’s cycles of life, it’s a normal transition. They took Venezuela. (Back up of Oil reserves) shit oil by the way, costs far more to process, clean and purify that slop into oil compared to the liquid gold Iran has. FYI, USA sanctioned Venezuela for years from being aloud to get that oil (which would empower and enrich a corrupt government). Correct. The big issue was China down there funding the operation to get the oil out the ground. So USA came knocking. Maduro? Dead? No. In Jail? No. Mega operation from US marines? Haha. Yes and no. Cinema. Maduro took the get out of jail free card. Trump and the USA looked like gangsters. And they made sure they got the photos of him masked up (theatre). Now, Iran. Did USA really think it could get into Iran and control it? There’s no way they are that naive. Again, a psyop. But USA and Trump, extremely tactical and smartly has caused a global disruption in oil. Iran has won massively. But I think this was Trumps master plan. Now Europe (NATO) is fucked for oil. You’ve got Russian submarines near European and UK electricity lines. (Cut them, the country goes black). On top of that no oil? No reserves either. Iran has won. And USA has won also. USA needs ‘NATO’ and this was an extremely tactical and smart move (if I’m right) on the chess board. It’s like a triple check against Europe. And now? Well, sadly. The war against Russia is just beginning. Iran will control the Straight of Hormuz, Europe and the rest of the world will get their oil. And Europe and the USA are going to war with Russia. (I do not know why). But that’s the direction they seem to want. China? China are smart. USA has $39T dollars to fix. Lose the dollar, EVERYTHING collapse. Crazy times.

@thegarybrecka The real protein problem is that the supplement industry has convinced everyone that they need hundreds of grams of protein per day to achieve a steroid fueled body and the only way to do so is by purchasing protein powder and supplements. Pretty good scam.

Most people don’t have a protein problem. They have a real protein problem. If your protein comes from a bar, a bag, or a box, it’s probably not doing you any favors. Do you use protein powder??
