PSA: the person running this account, Raphi Stein, has refused to give his ex-wife a gett (Jewish divorce). He has left her chained to a dead marriage for nearly 5 years. Without a Jewish Divorce his ex wife cannot remarry and move on.

@HoffmanJess @ariktucson @ImrayPhee @jewishmemequeen So in the event the wife is alleging the man is abusive and requests the judge rules no custody/visitation; The man should give up his only leverage and by default give up on seeing his kids? Makes no sense to me. 9/10 the court will rule with the mother without looking into it.

@LTD121712 @ariktucson @ImrayPhee @jewishmemequeen Using a get as leverage is always wrong and will hurt his case. If the woman will show up to receive it, he must give it. Withholding it only supports her claims that he is unstable. Sadly, most get refusers believe they are somehow the exception, from my observation.

@ariktucson @ImrayPhee @jewishmemequeen What if the wife is not a good person and is threatening to go to court to declare him unstable, 9/10 times the woman will retain custody in the court system. It’s not worth the risk of a restraining order - by withholding the gett it can change those odds.
