@spotastic ha we must have worked at movie theaters at around the same time – we were a one-screen theater (my hometown) and I swear to god I saw Aladdin over 70 times because we kept it so long

I worked at a movie theatre when this came out. We had it for over 6 Months. People left to use the bathroom the most when they drive up on the Brachiosaurus eating

As a kid who sent Michael J Fox a handwritten fan letter (that I wrote in class when we learned how to write a letter), I am scared to watch his doc bc… what if I barf from crying? What if I just open the door and walk out into the night in my pajamas and lay down in the street?

@AbbyMCarney My current freelance writing gig pays me once a month, via wire transfer (that costs me $15) and it can be on the 28th or the 2nd or the 8th of the month. Who's to say?!?!?!

@ariscott In Silicon Valley, a dude did this and had multiple job offers by the end of the day (well paying jobs, they complimented his courage and dedication). But that was a man, I’m guessing it would be different for a woman.

@danielleweisber Yeah so far it’s been fun! It’s been more of a side hustle but I might make this into an actual business. I get to see inside nice apartments and tidy shelves and people are nice to me. I feel useful.

@danielleweisber I gave up after a year of applying to these types of jobs — now I’m helping upper west side moms organize their closets and pantries and I’m actually cool with it 🧹😎

@samcahnruns I once tried listening to a running podcast with three hosts and it was a disaster every week — also everyone was in a different location and had different audio levels

Do people actually listen to those podcasts with like 12 people on it or do they just watch the snippets on Instagram and TikTok? I refuse to believe people can sit down and keep up with 12 men and women talking and interrupting each other for 90 minutes

@LizHackett Haven't seen it yet but I started tearing up just listening to Terry Gross's interview with Judy Blume on Fresh Air – realizing how much her books were a part of my entire childhood, it really hit me

I don't know if it's nostalgia for the leafy green suburbia of my childhood, or missing my mother, or memories of summer reading lists and the smell of sun-baked library books, but I cried my way through Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.
