Plane slams into a paraglider’s canopy near Schmittenhöhe mountain in northern Austria.
The woman, Sabrina, was captured on camera gliding through the air before a small plane came slamming into her parachute.
The 44-year-old woman was able to untangle herself before deploying her reserve parachute. She safely landed and was rescued by a police helicopter.
"I actually still can’t believe that I’m sitting here typing this and apart from a few nasty bruises and some general contusions, nothing happened," she said.
The pilot, a 28-year-old man, says there was no way he could have avoided Sabrina. He was able to land safely at a nearby airport.

A sad day for me but hopefully a happy one for our Ridglan foster — now named Gigi — as she goes to her new home, where she will have 2 canine sibling to help her keep learning.
Many have asked why we didn’t keep her. We already have 2 adopted research beagles, live in a city condo & vet care & boarding add up. Also, she got a little bossy as she gained confidence & our younger male was kind of intimidated — they weren’t playmates like I’d hoped.
I’ll miss her, but helping research beagles through their initial adaptation & seeing the rapid progress is so rewarding. Plus, not adopting a 3rd leaves us open for future fostering — & my read of the political situation is that beagle testing is being phased out & there are more large rescues to come.

As they approached the Straits of Gibraltar, the convoy broke up and 30 American ships entered the Mediterranean. The waters were filled with unseen enemies. German U-boats moved silently under the waters like sharks.
The convoy made their way toward Crete. Here they were met with a heavy Luftwaffe presence. The planes strafed the decks of the ships first with incendiary rounds to light the hatch tarps on fire, and then conducted a second round of strafing with regular rounds.
Hugh zigzagged across the deck as the bullets tore into the deck around him. He was assisting the Navy gunners as a loader, and his bravery, as well as that of all the others aboard, ensured that the ship’s defenses were able to hold off the enemy attack.
