natalia, if you'll allow me, i'll give you some advice: use v0 as part of your exploration phase or as a quick prototype you can show to stakeholders, but nothing more. focus on working in Figma and understanding the code, even at a basic level. implement only small things, or help developers make component adjustments. imo even working with Claude Code doesn't allow designers to deliver full features - unless they understand the code perfectly. i personally don't understand it at that level, so even the most well-written skills, rules, or even agents won't be a great fuse here 🥲

@arknow91 @kcinimoDM I agree with your opinion. Screens without understanding from designer's side why this design are just screens even if they look nice. I use v0 time to time, but I write spec docs and building plan before to get needed results... And iteration by iteration

hiring a designer in 2026 is different for one reason: the portfolio stopped being a filter. anyone can generate 12 beautiful screens now. pretty isn't evidence of anything. so here's what I'd actually screen for, and what a redesign needs to survive:

i agree with you 100%, but we're talking about assets, not full views. how creatively you use AI is also a skill, but Dominik mentioned screens so i understand he meant generating full views e.g. in tools like v0 or Lovable - and if you have a similar opinion here, then unfortunately i disagree with you 😁

@arknow91 @kcinimoDM AI tool is just a tool. Experienced designer can give right and full context to get nice output. Yes ai tools are very helpful especially with routine work and work with huge data, but experience allowes to estimate results and take good decision.
