I’m a 6 year Marine Corps veteran. Signing my life away, I found temporary relief from poverty. I was homeless once I wasn’t needed any longer. Most people who I served with stayed in because they’d have nowhere else to go. Thank veterans by ending poverty & war.

@jlspooney @JasonReynolds83 @DrIbram I spent a lot of time in tears yesterday reading the emails of angry parents accusing me of trying to indoctrinate my students with this book. I cried when I told some of my students that we couldn't continue. They were upset. They still want to read it. "Please do," I said.
