@schutzsmith @PoeHaH Maybe its time for you to adapt to the new era, I am also a conservative nature when it comes to such changes but I had to accept it. It felt just like I started from zero, but its going good. All in all, this stack doesn’t only apply to WordPress, but opens other doors as well.

Now that it's quiet, I'm diving into React and Gutenberg, and I have opinions.😁 1) Why does WordPress wrap basic React stuff in wordpress/element? Surely I'm missing something here. 2) WP has pre-built components you can use, which is great! But if you want to figure out which props have been introduced in which WP version, you're in for a search! Why is there no resource easily listing this? The Storybook seems a good place to do that. 3) I don't like React. How have we been tricked into giving up sturdy HTML and CSS to write it all again in JavaScript? If we value speed so much, React feels like a step back. All the hooks just add so much unnecessary complexity. Want to hide a loader somewhere? Oh you need "useEffect" to do that and maybe also "useRef". 2-way-binding out of the box? No ser, write it yourself! Idk how React became so popular, it feels like a giant scam. 😁
