@railmaxxer We don’t need dehati tourists to litter these places, we ourselves are enough to make them dirty. Plastic and trash on the roadsides are increasing day by day.

That's why I will always be against tourism in Tulunad. It is a low revenue sector and we will have to deal with litter and dehatis like this every day. Better focus on industrialising and creating jobs for locals.
Hate Detector 🔍@HateDetectors

A tourist couple visiting Kodagu has sparked outrage after they were allegedly caught throwing plastic bottles by the roadside and later arguing with a local resident who objected to the act. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. According to local residents, the couple was travelling in a car bearing registration number TG 07 AM 9907, registered in Telangana, after returning from a trip in the hill district. The controversy began when the couple allegedly threw two plastic bottles onto the roadside. A local resident who witnessed the incident reportedly approached them politely and requested that they avoid littering and dispose of the waste in a dustbin. However, instead of accepting the request, the couple allegedly became aggressive and questioned the resident, asking, “Don’t you know how to speak to women?” This led to a verbal altercation between the two parties. The argument reportedly continued for several minutes before bystanders intervened and brought the situation under control. The local resident recorded the incident on video and later shared it on social media, where it quickly gained widespread attention and criticism. Many social media users condemned the tourists’ behaviour and stressed the importance of environmental awareness and responsible tourism, especially in ecologically sensitive destinations like Kodagu. Local residents have also expressed displeasure over the incident and urged visitors to respect the cleanliness, environment, and culture of the region.

@hypocritiqe @_Avykt Is that how u r going to enjoy nature and the breeze? destroying forest cover so billions of people can live in endless urban sprawls instead of using land efficiently by building vertically. Most of the Indian cities are horizontally expanding urban hell.

Jagannath worship was widespread across the Gangetic plains in the Gupta period but declined in the Early Medieval period. Worship remained widespread until the late 1800s when the average IQ started dropping.

@Jr_schrader01 @ayatollahdkshi >Isn’t lingayats worship shiva? Shiva or Ishtalinga referred in Lingayatism is not the same as shiva in Hinduism. Lingayatism is monotheistic. They refer to their god who is formless, as Shiva. That's it.

UPCL in Udupi - Coal powered thermal plant Kaiga in Uttara Kannada - Nuclear Power plant MRPL in Mangalore - Oil refinery Raichuru - Coal powered thermal plant Let other districts take up environmentally sensitive projects this time.
Sachin@sachin80025

Why it's always Uttara kannada and other places of North Karnataka for such destructive projects Why not in Bangalore, Mysore, Mandya , Tumkur, Kolar ? Kolar, Tumkur are deserted dry lands, same can be used to install such nonsense projects by using drainage water of Bangalore

Each Indian class has a completely unique relationship with ACs. Working class Indian: has no AC, so has learned to survive by borrowing cold air from public infrastructure. Metro rides, AC buses, malls, office lobbies. Lingers around just long enough to get cooled without arousing suspicion. Lower middle class Indian: has AC, but only technically. It is used like a rationed wartime resource. First endure. Then complain. Then finally switch it on. Then set an alarm to switch it off in the middle of the night because "ab to kaafi thanda ho gaya." Upper middle class Indian: has AC in the drawing room, master bedroom and kids’ room, but the electricity bill still triggers a speech on "Tum logo ne poori raat AC chalaya hoga". Everyone used it. Everyone enjoyed it. Everyone pretends someone else committed the crime. Rich Indian: sets the AC temperature so low that in May the house feels colder than an airport lounge, wears a hoodie indoors, then still leaves for Europe in June because "Delhi is impossible now."
Chirag Barjatya@chiragbarjatya

I don't know at what income level we will stop feeling guilty of using AC full night. The entire childhood has conditioned us deeply with constant "poori raat AC chalaya hawww bijli ka bill tera.. "

This man hasn't heard about Rani Abbaka Chowta. "Have been a portuguese colony" it seems. No thankyou. We respect you and everyone equally. And I have never been biased about migrants. I don't spare mangaloreans alone why would I spare the rest of the Indians?

Without Kannadiga Nayakas of Ikkeri & Haleri, it would have been a colony of Portuguese or Dutch way before it became a colony of British. Kannadigas are partners of Tuluvas. Lang thrives in its core region, people have prospered because of economic opportunities in OMR & beyond
