@AndrewCurran_ chatgpt definitely does this within certain contexts, like "one-shot" descriptions. don't often ask for these, so I don't often see them. but it has been present since at least 5.4

Opus is the only model who will sometimes say 'I think you know this' to push back during a conversation. I'm sure the model that Chat and Gemini form of me during a long conservation is just as good, they are all exceptional at this now, but they have never done this once.

there's no "please everyone" approach that compresses everything into a short, palatable piece of writing/speech. it has to come with great depth and understanding. then, you can update, add to, and fan from that comprehensive reference random thoughts

you have to bucket well and hit the buckets individually, but not preclude them from understanding the rest of the thought. expanding audience is not a one-size-fits-all approach, much of the time. have to read too much into compressed language; often come away w/wrong answers

abstraction is unique to everyone. there is no 1:1 abstraction between people. close enough a lot of the time, but never 1:1 your intended audiences have to be able to unpack every word that you say: people from all levels of intelligence can't leave things weakly abstracted
