🚨 Arne Slot is making HISTORY at Liverpool... just the wrong kind. 😳📉 ❌ First time Man Utd doing the double over us in a decade First time losing 6 of 7 games since 1902, until Arne Slot. ❌ PSV Eindhoven had never beaten Liverpool FC in 112 years, until Slot. ❌ Manchester City hadn’t done the double over Liverpool in 89 years, until Slot. ❌ Plymouth Argyle hadn’t beaten Liverpool in 68 years, until Slot. ❌ Liverpool hadn’t lost a home domestic cup game by 3+ without scoring since 1934, until Slot. ❌ Manchester United hadn’t won at Anfield since 2016, until Slot. ❌ Conceded 5 league 90th-minute winners in one Premier League season, until Slot. ❌ Nottingham Forest hadn’t won at Anfield in 55 years, until Slot. ❌ Fulham FC hadn’t won at Craven Cottage vs Liverpool since 2011, until Slot. ❌ Galatasaray SK hadn’t kept a clean sheet vs an English side since 2012, until Slot. ❌ Chelsea FC hadn’t won back-to-back vs Liverpool since 2014, until Slot. ❌ Crystal Palace FC hadn’t beaten Liverpool at Selhurst Park since 2014, until Slot. ❌ Newcastle United FC hadn’t beaten Liverpool in 9 years, hadn’t won a cup game since 1995, and had never beaten them in a final, until Slot. ❌ Liverpool hadn’t lost to a Championship side since 2017, until Slot. ❌ First home loss vs Newcastle since 2012, until Slot Arne Slot love breaking records !!

🔴 Stefan Bajcetic last played for #LFC two years ago today. Understand he’s still working on his recovery in the gym and is a distance from rejoining the first team. Contract expires 2027 but HG eligible next season. So what next? For @thisisanfield ✍️ thisisanfield.com/2026/05/stefan…

Lose twice to Man Utd, twice to PSG, three times to Man City and three times to Crystal Palace. Lose 3-0 at home to Forest, then chuck in a defeat to Wolves for good measure. Nine losses in twelve games, the worst record in the league for goals conceded from set pieces, and dumped out of every competition. Then you’re told your job is safe… and somehow people are surprised nothing improves.

#LFC 🔴 🚨 A short piece out of my Article posted last night, check it out. Arne Slot believes he deserves another season at Liverpool and is determined to continue. However, he has made it clear he needs early signs of strong backing from the hierarchy in June. If that support is not forthcoming, he could consider going on his own terms. Slot has highlighted poor refereeing decisions and a lack of physical intensity from the players this season. He remains confident he can win the Premier League next season if given the chance and is eager to build a new era at the club. A crucial summer of targeted recruitment and some unexpected sales lies ahead with Liverpool to sell some big players who have contributed a lot over the last few years.

This was no hard luck story and the statistics are grim - 18 defeats, 2pts out of 24 away to teams in the top half, & losing home/away to both Manchester clubs for the first time since 1912-13. A bad day for Slot as the same old issues blight Liverpool. nytimes.com/athletic/72503…

Disappointing for Liverpool and some familiar failings. They’ve lost their authority this season. Lost their cohesion. Lost much of their defensive resilience. Arguably, lost their way. More Liverpool players need to raise their game as Dominik Szoboszlai does week in, week out. And Arne Slot needs to believe in Rio Ngumoha more; final ball needs a bit of work but he’s a threat. Slot is a good manager, and has credit in the bank etc, but he has to show/prove he can guide Liverpool out of this lengthy period of stagnation #MUNLIV

Our team had a good vacation in New York. It's now back to work. The @LFC board has a duty to look after the club's interests. Arne Slot has lost his way in terms of coaching the team. The players look lost.

#LFC 🔴 🚨 Confirmed by @_pauljoyce ✅ Dressing room lack belief in Arne Slot.
Wilson Cox LFC@WilsonCoxLFC

#LFC 🔴 🚨 It is now clear that Arne Slot will not be sacked during the season, meaning any decision will come around the end of May/Early June The players appear to have lost belief, with heads visibly dropping whenever the team concedes a goal. Liverpool desperately need a new voice in the dressing room. The hierarchy must get the next appointment right. If they decide to part ways with Slot, if Liverpool sack Slot the incoming manager will be given time — that is not the Liverpool model to change coaches frequently. This decision cannot be wrong. I’m shocked with how this has turned out but ultimately it’s time for change🔴

🚨Ole Gunnar Solskjær on Mohamed Salah being a Premier League legend "While he is considered a legend by many Liverpool fans, I personally believe he hasn’t yet done quite enough to fully earn that elite status. When you look at the very best wingers to have played the game — players like Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo — Salah, for all his brilliance, still doesn’t quite measure up in my eyes."

At his best, Wirtz is a tidy player. He gives you a few nice flicks or passes here and there. That is not what you pay £100m for. You're wanting a player who takes that game by the scruff of the neck and produces a moment of magic to decide it. He's been so, so disappointing.

The same people who tried to downplay Dominik Szoboszlai or Ryan Gravenberch after their first season are now rushing to disrespect Florian Wirtz, ignoring everything that actually matters, his relentless work rate, his consistently elite running metrics, and the fact that he has been among the most productive chance creators in his very first Premier League season, all while operating in a dysfunctional team under a manager who has failed to deliver on promises made to him during the summer negotiations. Despite all of that, Florian has never once hidden, never deflected, never settled, he remains relentlessly self-critical, fully aware that there is another level to reach and fully committed to getting there, even structuring his upcoming off-season around personal training to accelerate that progression. That is the mindset of a truly elite player, and it’s worth remembering that countless Premier League greats, including Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, produced less in their debut seasons before going on to define the league and, in fact, European football at its highest level. If certain sections of supporters are too impatient to recognise this after not even a full season, they should remember this moment, because once he is fully integrated, fully settled, and everything clicks, he will take the league apart like so many before him, and when that happens, there is no need to come back and rewrite the narrative.
