Only two weeks to go until Lutfur Rahman's latest 5% increase in Council Tax kicks in. To justify it, Aspire cllrs claim those who earn up to £50,000 a year are protected by their CT Relief Scheme. This response shows that only 74 households actually got anything from this scheme

Quick to take credit for something he hasn’t built. Jute House was built by @TH_Labour mayor & administration. I was the cabinet member for housing. I chose the name Jute House to reflect the history of docks where Jute from Bangladesh arrived. I am very pleased for Mrs. Begum.

When visiting new council homes that we've built at Jute House, it was a pleasure to be invited into Mrs Begum’s new council home - an accessible property tailored to meet the needs of her disabled child. We are launching our new Housing Strategy to build more affordable homes and upgrade existing ones. The plan has been shaped by the voices of local people and grounded in the needs of our community. I also visited at Docklands Community Organisation, which is one of the many community spaces supporting residents across our borough. We are investing to tackle the impact of London's housing crisis in our borough and ensure our residents have a place they can truly be proud to call home.

The United States opposes any efforts to incorporate European preference in the EU Defense Procurement Directive. We fully support European rearmament and a revitalization of the European defense industrial base. However, European preference in the Directive would undermine member state flexibility to make national procurement purchases, hinder European rearmament efforts, create barriers for Allies reaching NATO capability targets, and run counter to European commitments in the 2025 U.S.-EU Joint Statement on trade and Reciprocal Defense Procurement Agreements.

I’m pleased to see CCTV being installed on the Cranbrook Est, but deeply concerned by the way the launch was handled.
Despite being the local Labour Councillor for this area for 24 years, my colleague @CllrRebaka and I were not invited to this official Council event.

We installed 6 moveable and 18 fixed cameras at 6 sites on the Cranbrook Estate to deter ASB, catch criminals, assist with estate management & reassure residents. Cllr Abu Talha Choudhury went to see the cameras & hear from residents about the positive difference they will have
