It’s official, shu uemura x Shavonne Wong just dropped! 🌸✨
When @shuuemurajp reaches out for a collab, you say yes first, freak out later. I've always loved how they're unapologetically bold, playful, and championed beauty as playful self-expression.
Landing moments like these reminds me every wild creative choice, anxious night, and moment of panic juggling/winging it has got me here. From fashion photography to diving headfirst into 3D and AI, it all connects!
Big brand, big art, big feelings. And honestly, I'm just getting started. ✨

"Avoiding AI entirely won't protect you from it. It's already part of the world we live in, shaping how we communicate, work, make decisions.
Pretending it's not there doesn't keep you safe. It just makes you less prepared.
You don't have to love it. You don't even have to trust it. But you *should* look closely. Because if we want to have a say in how this future unfolds, we can't close our eyes every time it gets uncomfortable."

Titled 1982, this painting, exhibited during NFT Paris at ArtVerse Gallery, marks the year of the artist’s birth and serves as a reflection of her life. It tells the story of her personal journey, shaped by her Cambodian heritage and the lasting impact of the genocide.

For the first time since 2018, I won’t be at ETHDenver.
I had high hopes for traveling domestically in my third trimester, but at 34 weeks pregnant, a few unexpected physical issues have made it impossible to sit on a flight. 😱
I’ll spare y’all the very unsexy details, but this is the first of many physical challenges since entering my third trimester.
I’ll really miss meeting our amazing community, partners, collaborators, and SheFi staff at SheFi Summit—connecting with everyone is one of my favorite parts of this work.
But I also don’t see myself as central to this event. Other than introducing the day, I prefer to be the woman behind the scenes: corralling speakers, supporting sponsors, and keeping things on track.
Of course, I enjoy being on stage, but SheFi Summit is ultimately about bringing the latest trends, fostering important discussions, helping builders find projects and getting career advice.
It's about the projects, speakers and you, the community.
Luckily, SheFi has a dream team now, and @ElaPassarelli and @riotstef will be at SheFi Summit. They are amazing so don’t miss the opportunity to spend time with these two incredible women!!
As life continues on Baby Love Wu’s timeline, I’ll keep leaning on the SheFi team, our community, and our partners to keep the mission growing.
Wishing everyone an incredible SheFi Summit and ETHDenver!
(Ps. I thought this would be obvious but based on messages, it's not so just wanted to share an update here!)
❤️

My latest 1/1 it’s been a hard one to draw and share, but really glad I did. Any love on this is appreciated, it’s from my current exhibition ‘Love & Death.’ Hopefully this will give you a deeper understanding and insight of who I am. 💀❤️

On Friday night, while I was doing cooking dinner, @jonwu_ was scrolling through Twitter. Suddenly, mid-scroll, he said:
“Trump launched a memecoin.”
We both laughed at the ridiculousness of an incoming President being allowed to launch a memecoin. It’s an obvious pump-and-dump scam. His company owns 80 percent of the supply.
But after the laughter died down, we looked at each other with complete seriousness and asked, “Should we buy it?”
We know memecoins are gambling. On the other hand – if a memecoin truly was a representation of a viral moment or influential celebrity – who is more viral and influential than Donald Trump?
Over the weekend, the token’s price skyrocketed. I was in disbelief, and a tiny voice of regret popped into my head, asking questions like:
Why didn’t we make a big bet? What if we bet a lot? Could we have made life-changing money? Is it ok to make money on memecoins? Is it ok to make money on a Trump memecoin?
And, most existential of all: Is this all that crypto is about?
All over Twitter I saw stories of people cashing in their $TRUMP trades. That nagging voice in my head kept comparing myself to those “in the trenches.”
I decided to check back in with myself. Meditate, do some grounding. Instead of asking why I didn’t bet more on a memecoin (a Trump coin, no less), I grabbed my journal and asked: Why did I join crypto, 7 years ago?
It wasn’t to chase get-rich-quick schemes or gamble on inherently worthless assets.
Crypto gives people real tools that they themselves can own to take control of their money and futures. I started SheFi because I believe women around the world deserve to take advantage of these tools.
But permissionless finance is permissionless. Unlike the real world, if you put your money in something and it goes wrong, there isn’t someone there to protect you or revert the transaction.
Even in markets that are rigged or that give advantage to insiders, the draw of making life changing money will never go away. And though memecoins exist, good things are still happening in crypto. I see it all the time in our community, like when we had an entire panel at SheFi Summit on how to use crypto for charitable donations.
At the end of the day, it’s about focusing on the fundamental freedom-enabling technology–the ability for anyone to access global financial tools–that keeps me going.
Because even in the chaos, crypto’s core promise—the power to take control of your financial future—is worth building for.
And we need all of you to build it with us.
