With a heavy heart the School of Physical Sciences shares the sad news of the passing of our beloved colleague, Prof. Ramamurti Rajaraman, an eminent physicist, this morning. This a great loss for our school and the entire scientific community.

We lost a 99.5 years old stalwart mathematician of India, today. R P Bambah, a graduate of Lahore, was an international name in Number Theory and provided leadership to #panjabuniversity VC . It is an irrecoverable loss for the world of mathematics and for Punjab.
