@mnine1 Yet oil price down 10% today alone. So where's the 6/7p equivalent drop that they hiked on the day of the oil rise. No where. Starmer has no balls to deal with it. When it goes up they say delivery hikes. When it slowly comes down they say they buy oil months in advance.

Esso diesel close by was £1.72 this morning. By late afternoon £1.79. No doubt in my mind that's blatant fucking profiteering

Buses are hideously slow and inconvenient. You have to walk to the stops, wait around, and can't carry much either. By forcing people to use buses instead of cars they're severely restricting mobility and access to job, retail and leisure opportunities. birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-…

For anyone who still hasn't grasped why nuclear power plants are the stupidest idea imaginable: New nuclear power plants cost up to 49 cents per kilowatt-hour in Europe. Solar power costs between 3 and 6 cents. Thats 16 times more expensive electricity For those now dreaming of small power plants (SMR): SMRs produce five to 30 times more nuclear waste than large reactors, and nuclear waste is a massive cost driver. Professor Dr. Lesch calls the idea of using old nuclear waste as fuel "a wonderful fairy tale that has yet to come true anywhere in the world." For all now claiming storage is no cost driver take a look what Germany had to pay and all other countries with nuclear energy generation must pay for decommissioning and storing nuclear facilities and waste in the future:

The Iranian Foreign Minister addressing the world: Let me get one thing straight: Egypt charges $200,000 to $700,000 per transit through the Suez Canal. Large container ships or tankers can exceed $1 million. Panama charges $100,000 - $450,000 per transit. Large Neopanamax vessels cost up to $500,000 to transit the Panama Canal. Turkey charges fees for the Bosphorus Strait. Canada charges fees for the St. Lawrence Seaway. The United States charges fees for the St. Lawrence Seaway. Iran has refused to collect fees for the Strait of Hormuz for decades. They made it free! Despite the defamation, sanctions, and isolation—and yet you want me to believe that Iran is the "bad guy" here?

Why do rich people always fundraise by asking poorer people to donate to charity? Perhaps if you paid your taxes and paid workers a real living wage there would be less need for charity.

If Keir Starmer had any backbone, he’d put his illegal war on Iran to a parliamentary vote. The British public are done being America’s poodle.

@Luna_Meher @zarahsultana Justice... forcing people to act how you want them to act or shooting them dead in protests. We cry for equality and inclusion in this country when 1 person steps a foot wrong yet for 70 years its happened with no intervention over there and you all blame the PM.

Britain should stand for justice and humanity not act as a helper for foreign powers who want to impose their will on other countries the people of Iran have the right to live in peace and defend their homes without fear of attacks from foreign armies it is wrong for our leaders to allow bases on our soil to be used for strikes that harm innocent people every life matters and war only brings suffering and destruction ordinary families on both sides pay the price of decisions made in rooms far from the consequences the British public are waking up to the fact that we are being dragged into conflicts that are not ours it is time to demand that our government respect sovereignty choose diplomacy over aggression and never become a tool for someone else’s military ambitions our role should be to promote understanding peace and fairness and to refuse to be part of plans that lead to death and fear for people who have done nothing to threaten us

Iran has kept the Straight of Hormuz toll-free for decades despite being vilified, sanctioned, and Isolated. Egypt charges $300,000 – $700,000+ per transit through the Suez Canal. Ultra-large container ships or tankers can exceed $1 million. Panama charges $150,000 – $450,000 per transit. Large Neopanamax ships cost up to $500,000+ to pass the Panama Canal. Turkey charges fees for the Bosporus Strait. Canada charges fees for the St Lawrence Seaway. The United States charges for the St Lawrence Seaway. But Iran is a bad country.

NCP has gone into administration. They’ve been running car parks since 1931, and somehow ended up £305m in debt. Surely the maintenance for a car park is simple: ticket machines, barriers, lights, and occasional cleaning. How can a business model literally based on people paying to park go bankrupt?

You appear to have looked at numbers and sites. Did you look at how long American airbases have been in Britain? It has nothing whatsoever to do with voting for the bases, unless you want a vote on NATO membership. You are either trotting out whatever the latest propaganda is or you are just naive enough to not understand this whole topic is not as straightforward as a yes/no question.

Tomorrow on @ItvMLshow I'll be doing a short pre-rec interview with the Sec of State for Energy @Ed_Miliband specifically on Home Heating oil and LPG intervention (not wider issues). Do you have any practical questions on that you'd like me to ask him (times short so can't promise all)

@lordmvarder Actually, that’s not correct. In the last 12 months the UK economy grew at 1.3% - faster than any major European economy (Germany 0.2%, France 0.6%, Italy 0.5%).

In April, energy prices will come *down* £117 a year and minimum wage will go *up* £950 a year. Making someone on minimum wage £1067 a year better off. This Labour govt, like all govt’s, has made mistakes but not doing enough to tackle the cost of living isn’t one of them.

Trump has just held up a model of a B2 fighter plane and declared these are dropping the biggest bombs on Iran you’ll ever see. B2s are reportedly taking off from British bases. Keir Starmer must answer my simple question. Are these planes attacking Iran?
