@Miss_Snuffy The 2021 census showed a 25% increase of households with members of more than one ethnicity and so advertisers are catering to a change in population and demographics.

Not sure it is the white man who has disappeared in UK advertisements. But white couples have. So many adverts have mixed race couples despite most white people dating and marrying white people. Why is that?

@Peston The thing I find most troubling about racism is that it leaves people asking if they are being over sensitive. You’re not, you’re pointing out what’s wrong. This is awful.

Boris Johnson today calls Starmer “Sir Keir Schnorrer” (see attached). “Schnorrer” is the Yiddish word for beggar and scrounger. It is pretty offensive. It was part of the lingua franca of my grandparents and of my childhood. I find it unsettling to see Johnson appropriating it to describe someone whose wife is Jewish - and especially when he says “if Schnorrer gets in, he will immediately begin the process of robbing this country of its new-found independence and make the UK the punk of the EU”. What do you think? Am I being over sensitive?
