This is your construction site near Bhaktawar Chowk, Sector 47, Gurugram. @IKEA @IKEAIndia - I wonder if your construction sites in other parts of the world, including Sweden are managed in a similar manner? For the past 4 years, this area has effectively been a dust bowl during construction. The service road was completely broken thanks to plying of heavy construction vehicles - it has only recently become somewhat motorable, but air quality around the site remains severely impacted. Gurugram is already among the most polluted cities- large projects like this should in the very least demonstrate basic compliance to govt construction dust containment norms It's the same impacted public which will be spending their hard earned money at your store - for you to profit ... think , just think enviornment and think public health #constructiondustnorms #airpollution #roaddust #indiagrowthstory #gurgaon #gurugram #consumershealth @CAQM_Official @CPCB_OFFICIAL @MunCorpGurugram @Haryana_spcb @InfrageoHaryana @DC_Gurugram @OfficialGMDA @cleanAirBharat

I travelled through Great Nicobar today. These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow. The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs. The government calls what it is doing here a “Project.” What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away. This is not development. This is destruction dressed in development’s language. So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this country’s natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime. It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.

Sugarcane-based ethanol production in India requires roughly 2,860 liters of water per liter of ethanol according to NITI Aayog data. Yes. 2,860 liters of water for 1 liter of ethanol. To make 4 liters of ethanol, this entire water tank of water is needed. Fact check it & share it to spread awareness. #ethanol

Celebrating a fake #WorldEarthDay A few days back, I lost a case in Supreme Court as a petitioner — fighting for past few yrs to save a forest. Supreme Court Order : Cut down 120 acre forest in heart of Delhi. Following will die : 1. 25000+ Trees 2. Peacocks (National Bird of India) 3. 50+ Nilgai (protected under the wildlife act) 4. Monitor Lizards (protected under the wildlife act) 5. Snakes (protected under the wildlife act) 6. 65 species of Birds (both Indian and foreign species) 7. Water bodies > NGT says yes save the forest. > But Supreme Court Cut it down > SC exclaims on this logic that the land didn't have a forest cover before and this natural forest grew on its own OMG .... > The forest grew and then the animals came and made it their home. But SC says it's not worthy of being called a "forest". > From this logic, the humans came into existence much later than the forests and animals in the world. > So who has the right to exist first!? > At a time when Delhi’s air quality is choking its people and heatwave is killing people, especially the poorest, the apex court seems to have turned a blind eye to public welfare. They don't really care about us. That's the unfortunate reality. ✓ So almost everyone is fake when it comes to saving the planet. Read More : frontline.thehindu.com/the-nation/dwa…

Today I am posting four videos of a brave, courageous, common Indian woman who has gone viral across India. Why? Because she did what most of us feel… but rarely say. A political rally blocked the roads for hours. Commuters were stuck. Chaos everywhere. And this woman? She just wanted to pick up her child from school. But when patience ran out, she stepped forward. She questioned the system. She questioned politicians. She questioned the police. And she asked the most powerful question: “Who are you to block these roads? Just get out and clear them.” No slogans. No politics. Just a citizen demanding accountability. We need this courage. We need more voices like hers.Because democracy doesn’t just survive on votes , it survives on citizens who dare to ask questions. @girishdmahajan @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice @Dev_Fadnavis @CMOMaharashtra @BJP4Maharashtra

Gurgaon or Chernobyl? ☢️ The haze is real today. With the Bandhwari landfill burning, the skyline has completely vanished into a toxic gray. Additionally the dust and vehicular emission adding highly toxic pollutant to the air. This isn’t just “bad air” — it’s an emergency situation that needs to be treated with urgency, not normalised or ignored. People are breathing this in right now. Stay safe out there, everyone. 😷💨 #GurgaonPollution #Bandhwari #AirQuality @cmohry @DC_Gurugram @CPCB_OFFICIAL @CAQM_Official @MunCorpGurugram @RaoNarbir @manashuman @cleanAirBharat

Blame winter for temperature inversion and smog. Blame summers for landfill fires. Blame monsoons for waterlogging. Blame spring for horticulture waste burning. Blame rapid urbanisation for weak enforcement and pollution. And when citizens and journalists ask for accountability, that’s blamed too. It’s not the seasons that create crises, it’s the systems that fail. @NayabSainiBJP @ulbharyana @csharyana #CleanAirBharat #AirQuality #AirPollution #Accountability

When will India introduce the same laws as Nepal?

Pls Retweet- Samserganj, Murshidabad. I invite the Election Commission of India to come meet its victims and see, on the ground, what this so called “voter purification” exercise is doing to the poorest citizens of this country who also happen to be Muslims. I have covered wars, communal violence, and mass movements. I have never seen anything like this before.

A cancer-causing material that's banned in 70+ countries and kills 2 lakh people annually is being legally used in India - in our roofs, cars, and even some appliances. The government says it's ‘safe’, based on a foreign study that wasn’t even accepted in its home country.

So Indian chocolates is essentially made of sugar, milk solids (not milk) & vanaspati while Australian chocolates has milk, cocoa butter, chocolate base. Price is almost comparable per gram and Australia has three times the production cost. Difference is food safety standard.

Cadbury Comparison: India vs. Australia 🇦🇺🇮🇳 A recent viral video has sparked a heated debate over food safety and quality standards in India. A man compared two Cadbury Dairy Milk bars, one made in India and the other in Australia… the differences are eye-opening. 🔍 Key Findings: > Ingredients Matter: The Indian version lists sugar as the primary ingredient, while the Australian bar starts with full cream milk. > Milk Quality: India's bar uses milk solids (milk powder), whereas the Australian one uses fresh milk. > Fats: The Indian chocolate contains fractioned fat (palm oil) to achieve its creamy texture, while the Australian version uses cocoa butter and original chocolate base. > Packaging Perks: The Australian packaging clearly highlights "Milk Chocolate," a detail noticeably absent on the Indian wrapper. > Cost vs. Quality: While the Indian bar is cheaper per gram (₹1/gm vs. ₹1.4/gm), the production and labor costs in Australia are significantly higher, suggesting a much better value for money in terms of quality. Why the Difference? The creator argues that stricter food safety regulations and consumption norms in Australia force companies to prioritize quality. In contrast, he claims the Indian market allows for cheaper ingredients to maximize profits, leaving consumers with a lower-quality product. Is it time for India to rethink its food safety standards? 🤔

There is something seriously wrong if a body charged with regulating food goes to the police to file FIRs against those who question its performance. What is the FSSAI really regulating? Food? Or people who question it? Deeply disturbing theprint.in/feature/fir-co… via @theprintindia
