I've been using Hermes Agent by @NousResearch with Grok 4.3 models from @xai via OAuth Premium+ Subscriptions recently. There appears to be a tool-calling reliability issue with the patch tool. The model frequently attempts "patch" operations without the required "path" parameter, causing the tool call to fail. Afterward, it often falls back to "sed" commands instead of making a corrected patch tool call. This behavior is highly reproducible and has become a persistent annoyance in day-to-day development. In some cases, the fallback to sed commands can unintentionally alter or damage the code structure, creating additional work to identify and fix the resulting issues. Please investigate and improve patch tool-calling reliability, especially the model's ability to correctly retry failed patch operations rather than switching to less reliable editing methods. #Hermes #Grok #Ai #Agents
