We should have at least ~5 routines practiced so frequently in pre-season they happen inherently in-game. The club made so many changes to personnel in the off season except the one that matters most.

@ash_gallagher @karavas_alex That’s where I’m critical of Cripps as skipper. Instead of trying harder to break more tackles and looking desperate and panicked, we need him to be helping people calm down, reset and remember what we’ve worked on at training

In light of what is happening at the Blues, I’ve thought about it since Sunday, as to how I would navigate what is seeming to be a bad trend and habit. Many will disagree, that’s cool. The players are obviously haunted by their constant fade-outs. You can tell why the way they play, that if the opposition get close enough, those legs start to get wobbly. So what do you do then, as a coaching stuff and group? Hmmmmm. I had a young player on the weekend make the same mistake 3 times, all led to turnovers. I’m an assistant coach at this club, so being a coach I had every right to be livid, but nope, when he came to the bench the 3rd time, I literally said to him, that he overthought it every time. He needed to clear his head. Breathe slowly. What’s done is done, but don’t let the bad decisions of the past, impact choices you make in the future. It’s LOVE. During times of uncertainty and crisis, sometimes all you need is to just take a couple of deep breaths, clear the mind of all uncertainty and stress, regain focus, calmness and composure and tackle what you need to tackle step by step. #CarltonFC #AFLBluesDees

@karavas_alex @MattThomas1405 Very true, like every kick out going long to the MCC wing to an outnumber, and not bothering to take the ~35 metres you are quite literally gifted as part of the protected area rules. If they could stop doing just that one thing that would be a start.
