Why do people hate this deck so much and why don't people like the mirror?

@DistantCoder @direYGO Drawing a mulcharmy going first does not generate interesting gameplay apart from the 1/1000 exceptions with seals/requiem pass It also makes them weaker and a gamble which is worrying when the game is rapidly becoming centered around them

I think this is ragebait, but i’ll bite. The side deck is a problem because it allows you to gain the net benefits of powerful cards without any of the drawbacks. Mulcharmies are at their fairest when you have an even amount of chance of drawing them going 1st as you do going 2nd (I think charmies are fair cards in general) Cards like duster are much worse when you need to choose to main it, where cards like cosmic might see more play in a world where you want backrow hate that is useable both going 1st or 2nd. The side deck was designed with the idea that some cards you may play are bad against certain matchups so you can swap them out for cards who aren’t. Nowadays that premise no longer exists because the side deck contains “going 1st cards” and “going 2nd cards”, deleting the side deck forced people to play the cards that are good at both unless they want to high roll or make a call on which they wanna skew heavier towards. Delete all floodgates and the side deck will continue to do exactly that even without them.

the floodgates are the issue not the side deck, if you have a rat infestation you don't get rid of the entire basement, you get rid of all the rats and have a useable basement again.

4-0 Genesys Locals with the best flippin deck ever. Cut Hiro's Shadow Scout because it was bad in a deck full of spells, but kept some of the sillies. Matchups: Monarchs, Kaiju Graydle, Blue-Eyes, Fabled. Fabled took 2nd place. Few comments below on choices (1/2)

Played Gulamel pass turbo today at a regional in Zaragoza. I was frustrated with my usual list so I made this last night. The premise of the deck was to play no cards from 2026 and I espectacularily failed by including Shaulas. The deck was terrible but I had a lot of fun :)

@jen_tcg For the opposite scenario when your board is weaker, you can straight up just let it resolve. Both your big guys in GY come back anytime you activate mst

@jen_tcg in radiant specifically, your endboard has anywhere from 2 (guaranteed) to 4 s/t negates since your combo always gets to 2 free mst. If your opponent is on full breakers, you can sometimes handloop them for 1-2 with Enterblathnir to gain advantage before it can even happen

not to sound whiny, because this is a genuine question, but how do you play around raigeki? I know in radiant typhoon you can at least use totem bird or rt mandate. should I always be prioritizing those two options? and how do other decks do it? what’s the general counterplay?
