@JoeAratari Great message. Training any novice will have shaky reps along the way. It’s an inevitable part of motor learning even as one climbs toward movement mastery. I admire coaches who share the rough patches of the process in addition to the pretty results.

Training 8th graders is not going to always look perfect. There will be some iffy reps at times. (Honestly even with season vets there are) I think a lot of Young coaches think everything needs to look perfect in the weight room and if their athletes form is not perfect, then they’re a bad coach. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

13 weeks ago I was told to go make peace with my family, make sure my Will was in order & contact Hospice. Then I could only high bar squat the bar for 3. 8 weeks later I could do 95 lbs for multiple sets of 3. Today I hit 205 for 3 on quarter squats. #Unbreakable
