This is the craziest story I have read today. In Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), govt babus tilted a bridge by 35 degrees to protect the private land of some influential people. As a result, the bridge is now landing directly onto a smart parking lot built 4 years ago by the govt. The original plan was to construct this bridge parallel to the existing Wakankar Bridge. Due to the superlative wisdom of corrupt govt babus, the new bridge is now 100 metres longer than planned (resulting in additional cost and travel time).

@PIB_India If it is so well why old cars are mentioning E10 on petrol cap, they should mention everything above E10 will work. Also, if higher blend works better then should we put E85 in our vehicle. your tweet has no logic.

For E10 compatibility, manufacturers were consulted well in advance as early as 2020-21. India achieved its E10 target (10% ethanol blending in petrol) in June 2022, five months ahead of the date in ESY 2020-21. ➔E20 offers a significantly higher-octane rating, superior anti-knock characteristics, faster combustion, better pickup, smoother acceleration and cleaner engine operation. ➔It produces negligible particulate emissions and substantially reduces lifecycle carbon emissions by around 40%. In short, it is a cleaner, higher-quality and more efficient fuel than either E10 or pure petrol. ➔So, the real question is this: if a cleaner, faster and less-polluting fuel is available, why would we deliberately choose an inferior alternative? Automobile manufacturers also issued clarifications regarding the programme during a press conference held on 4th July, 2026. 🔹Despite these clarifications, certain concerns have continued to be raised regarding the Ethanol Blended Petrol Programme. The following Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) provide factual and evidence-based responses to these concerns. In 2014, we enthusiastically voted for @narendramodi & @BJP4India , and we did so again in 2019 and 2024. We diligently paid our taxes, stood in line for DeMo, and remained indoors during the lockdown. Despite our unwavering commitment to being law-abiding citizens, we were subjected to a severe punishment for paying 40% GST and 15% Road tax on our vehicles. This situation highlights the unfortunate reality faced by ordinary citizens. Sorry to say this @HardeepSPuri and @nitin_gadkari you have wronged the population of this country!

According to the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, maintaining three parallel petrol grades across India’s fuel distribution network would be operationally complex, costly, and would undermine the significant investments already made in ethanol production and blending infrastructure.

The response of Toyota the other day; & now with experts arriving at consensus that consciously motivated individuals are trying to spread misinformation by using adulterated fuel! Only fact is Ethanol Blended Petrol reduces carbon emission; improves accelaration in the long run. Mileage is a component of many factors; & there is no large drop in mileage. While the whole country is debating petrol-ethanol, the bros from Madhya Pradesh have already pulled off what is arguably India's first major ethanol scam, not counting you know who. There is a govt policy that surplus rice in govt warehouses can be sold to ethanol manufacturers at subsidised rates to prevent it from rotting. According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, the scam began when some officials allegedly (willingly?) ignored the rules and allocated "newly procured" fortified rice (not even regular rice, but fortified rice) for ethanol production. The rice, bought at a high price (₹4,000 per quintal), was sold at a throwaway price (₹2,320 per quintal) to ethanol plants. The ethanol plant operators allegedly knew it was fortified rice, so instead of using it to make ethanol, they sold it to rice millers at ₹2,800 per quintal, and instead bought cheap broken rice (₹2,100 per quintal) from the open market for ethanol production, making an overall profit of ₹700 per quintal. The rice millers allegedly repacked the fortified rice in new gunny bags and supplied it back to the govt as freshly milled rice. The govt paid them milling charges, while the govt supplied paddy they were actually supposed to mill was allegedly sold in the open market for another round of profit. So the same bag of rice allegedly kept changing hands: govt warehouse to ethanol plant to rice mill to back to govt warehouse. Everyone in the chain allegedly made money. The MP govt formed an SIT. So far, four people have been arrested and 12 trucks seized. Investigators suspect that up to 50 lakh quintals of govt rice, worth around ₹1,160 crore, may have been diverted through this alleged racket.

मोहन यादव जी आज गुजरात लॉबी के सामने दंडवत प्रणाम करते हुए नतमस्तक हैं। जिस मध्य प्रदेश ने सरदार सरोवर परियोजना के लिए अपनी ज़मीन दी, अपने जंगल दिए, अपने गाँव डुबोए और लाखों लोगों का विस्थापन झेला, उसी मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने गुजरात सरकार से 7,669 करोड़ रुपये का मुआवज़ा माँगा था। लेकिन मोहन यादव जी ने प्रदेश के अधिकारों के लिए लड़ने के बजाय गुजरात सरकार से समझौता कर लिया और अब उल्टा 550 करोड़ रुपये गुजरात को देने पर सहमति जता दी। माँ नर्मदा का उद्गम मध्य प्रदेश में है और इसका अधिकांश प्रवाह भी यहीं है। फिर भी प्रदेश के अनेक हिस्से आज भी सिंचाई और पेयजल संकट से जूझ रहे हैं। किसानों को पर्याप्त पानी नहीं मिलता, गाँवों तक नहरें नहीं पहुँचतीं, लेकिन हमारे हिस्से का पानी और हमारे संसाधनों का लाभ कहीं और पहुँच जाता है। पूरा प्रदेश देख रहा है कि किस तरह आज मोहन सरकार ने नरेंद्र मोदी और अमित शाह के सामने मध्य प्रदेश के हितों से समझौता कर लिया।
