Mr Umar Khalid has again been denied bail -- not even interim bail for 15 days to assist his mother during a scheduled medical procedure. Justice Krishna Iyer's dictum was laid down in 1977. It may be perhaps found only in textbooks and presumably not applicable to real cases and real accused. The Trial Courts seem to think that 'we shall oblige the police and send the accused to jail and let the accused secure bail from the higher Courts (HC and SC). This is abdication of duty. If the Trial Courts did their work and applied the law, the burden on the High Courts and the Supreme Court will reduce considerably And so many thousands of under-trials will not languish in prison without charges being framed, without a trial and without a punishment It is rightly said that 'the process is the punishment'

How dare anyone suggest Ben-Gvir is the face of Israel just because he is the Minister of National Security, has his own fascist settler militia ruling the West Bank, and his ideology dominates the government? His idol is the mass-murdering terrorist Baruch Goldstein. Israel.

You knowingly caused harm to our State in this disgraceful display - and not for the first time. You have undone tremendous, professional, and successful efforts made by so many people - from IDF soldiers to Foreign Ministry staff and many others. No, you are not the face of Israel.

Ben Gvir inadvertently did journalism a service. Without his public broadcasting of the abuse, flotilla detainees' testimonies would have been met with denial and a smear campaign against them and reporters who carried their accounts.

Trump sued the IRS. His DOJ settled it. Buried in the deal: the IRS can never audit Trump, his kids, or the Trump Org again. A pending audit could’ve cost him over $100 million. He paid $750 in taxes in 2016. $750 in 2017. $0 in 2020. You likely paid more than the president. This is corruption as governance.

“My opinion has always been that AI is a great tool, but it's a tool, and when I see people saying ‘99% of our code is written by AI,’ I literally get angry, because I pretty much guarantee that 100% of their code is written by compilers.”—Linus Torvalds #OSSummit

As you write code by hand, you intrinsically review it. As you gain experience by writing (and thus reviewing), your code gets better. Your reviewing skill gets better. You spot your own mistakes faster, and address them as you write and rewrite the code. AI written code is a code dump. Reviewing AI code dumps is as hard as reviewing a very long PR someone sent your way. Expecting humane understanding of AI written code is unfathomable in many cases. Only using AI to review AI generated code seems plausible.
Haider.@haider1

Creator of C++, Bjarne Stroustrup: AI-generated code isn't ready — it generates more bugs, more bloat, more security holes, and is nearly impossible to validate "senior developers are already retiring rather than deal with it" The problem is that even a small prompt change can shift the entire codebase in unpredictable ways

Weird how Trump went after one of the loudest America First members of Congress harder than he's ever gone after any pedophile or foreign dictator. Starting to think he's not actually America First guys...

Bezos on Trump: "I think he's a more mature, more disciplined version of himself than he was in his first term. Trump has lots of good ideas. He's been right about a lot of things. You have to give him credit where credit is due."

I'm Jewish, British & 64 All my life, I wondered how the Holocaust could have happened. I understood that Hitler & other leaders were EVIL, but how did millions of ordinary people go along with it? NOW, seeing how so many in the West rationalise & defend the Gaza Genocide, I think I have my answer and it is profoundly disturbing
