The Twin Cities has seen DOUBLE our avg moisture over the winter months of Dec-Feb. We're now in 4th place for wettest winter on record, which includes rain & the liquid equivalent of our snow. With upwards of 0.33" of rain likely Mon, we are probably going to finish in 2nd place

Interstates will likely close. The snow coated trees could result in power outages as winds increase and temps drop below zero.

This week looks very bad. Several inches of fluffy snow by Thursday from multiple rounds, then very strong winds and dangerous wind chills late Thursday and Friday with a huge area of blizzard conditions across the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes.

The bottom line for travel this week is as follows... Travel on Tuesday is the best plan. Wednesday travel will be heavily impaired by accumulating snow. Thu-Sat travel will be heavily impaired by blizzard conditions and dangerous wind chills if you get stranded. #mnwx #wiwx
