Longtime users are frustrated with X because it no longer works the way it used to.
Back in the early days of Twitter, your reach was simple and direct. If you had 5,000 or 10,000,20,000 followers, your posts were delivered to them in real time. It was a true chronological feed—your tweets showed up in the order you posted them, and your audience actually saw your content.
The “old” Twitter (pre-2016) was built around that real-time experience. Your voice reached the people who chose to follow you, without interference.
Today, that’s no longer the case. X relies on an algorithm-driven, engagement-based feed, meaning even your own followers may never see your posts unless the system decides to prioritize them.
That shift—from a guaranteed audience to an unpredictable algorithm—is why so many longtime users feel frustrated and disconnected.

Madness, as we’re now seeing from Iran’s revenge attacks on energy plants all over the Gulf.
Netanyahu has his own agenda with this war, and it’s a very dangerous one for the rest of the world.

🚨🇮🇱🇮🇷 Israel hit South Pars, the world’s largest natural gas field, which sits under the Persian Gulf and is shared with Qatar. It is huge, literally 51 trillion cubic meters of gas between the two countries, and the strike marks the first time energy infrastructure of this scale has been targeted in the war. This is a serious escalation: it directly squeezes Iran’s biggest source of revenue, while Qatar (a major global LNG supplier) is also watching nervously. Source: @lookner

First, the Omani FM came out and revealed that there was a deal on the table that met Trump's demands, but that he instead chose war.
And now, it is revealed that the British National Security Advisor was also part of the talks, and he too attests to the fact that A) there was no imminent threat from Iran, B) Trump could have gotten a surprisingly good deal if he stuck to diplomacy.
But the perhaps most damning quote in the story comes at the end, attributed to an unnamed diplomat:
“We regarded Witkoff and Kushner as Israeli assets that dragged a president into a war he wants to get out of.”

Just thinking about what we went through in the last few years as Sri Lankans
2018- Constitutional Crisis
2019- Easter bombings
2020&21- COVID 19 and Delta variant due to mismanagement
2022 &23 - Economic Crisis, protests and major economic issues, New Taxes
2024 - Somewhat a moderate year we thought we were rebuilding finally
2025- Dithwa Cyclone
2026- US - Iran war bringing fuel crisis back to us
When are we going to live like a normal country? Tired of this 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
