In case anyone is wondering how much:
- $15,000 for the codebase
- $30,000 for the company workspace
Yeah, nobody values your shitty code.

Would be amazed if you bring in any dealflow for your firm. Whiny, patronizing t4 who can’t grasp why people don’t want datacenters in downtown vancouver.
You think everyone else is an idiot, but honestly it might just be you.
The 150 W George St plan is a beyond stupid location, and internet exchange is a poor argument (there are better) for building downtown. Tbh these are all terrible locations. This is a product of vancouver’s decline and does nothing to help. I’ll bet you $100k at least one of these doesn’t complete, down to paper it if you are.

You know why..? I thought about it, I thought, I should, instead of calling people idiots, explain! And then I remembered that most of the points people are attempting to make could be found online with 10 seconds of Google and people who deliberately decided to stay ignorant when they could just research, are, in my book, idiots. Why the shitty attitude? Because Canada is a fucking shit show of a country, people who became a middle manager at Longos and went on vacation to Spain once think they're cultured and intelligent and should have options about everything. Because this country lacks the humility to realize it's in big trouble and because nobody seems to give a fuck about saying the quiet parts out loud, and I'm absolutely 100% sick and tired of it. That's why. Cc @andyferris

Tl;dr starting yesterday, QFEX will not require document ID verification for its ordinary retail users. QFEX users have already been notified via email and Discord.
While we are all celebrating this as a MASSIVE UX improvement, the real reasons run deeper than that.
People don't talk about compliance because it's not sexy.
Everyone has a moral duty to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. At QFEX, we take this duty seriously.
Long run, dexes whose main business model is facilitating crime will be shut down and their exec team sent to prison. Our commitment to compliance is the reason why we are able to attract the market makers and liquidity that we do.
For years, document KYC has been the standard method of enforcing compliance policies. In the age of AI, it has become painfully obvious to us (see the below video) that the bad guys will always be one step ahead of the compliance software providers. Like most illicit businesses, the economics are just in their favour.
A couple of months ago, we began looking for alternatives.
I'm delighted to announce the integration of a new, powerful AI-based tool that, for the first time, integrates user data across browser sessions, blockchain history and trade history across QFEX and all perp dexes to build a complete user profile and enforce compliance policies.
This mogs document KYC and allows us to rest in peace knowing that our users are genuine, without knowing their passport details.
How markets should be.

@orrdavid @ShinskySam @DaBao_ @finphysnerd Immersion is actually the only way. N5 is useless, passing it is where everyone stops because its equivalent to knowing basically nothing.
English

@ShinskySam @DaBao_ @finphysnerd It's just a brute force grind to learn the characters and the many meanings of each character.
This is a perfect, simple example of why immersion doesn't help with Japanese.
If it wasn't for this single roadblock, I could learn fast.

@macrocephalopod @TerryLennox_ So I need to price an option but I don't have access to any kind of internet?
Feel contrived. At that point, I am not using BSM anyway, I am shortcutting from a few memorized rules of thumb that is usually close-ish to BSM in practice.

Interviewed a guy for a quant research job today.
Couldn’t invert a 3x3 matrix by hand.
Couldn’t derive Black Scholes.
Couldn’t explain the in-place quicksort algorithm on the whiteboard.
Just kept talking about “stochastic gradient descent” and “reinforcement learning”
If you can’t do the basics, what’s the point?
Obvious no hire.

@TheFlowHorse Allowlisting for hip-3 markets, burden of compliance should be handled by operators.

🚨 CONFIRMED: A 21-year-old protester, Kaden Rummler, was shot point-blank in the face by a federal agent outside a federal building in Santa Ana, CA. Doctors say he’s now blind in one eye for life. He was holding a megaphone, not a weapon. DHS called it “a cut.” This is what “less-than-lethal” looks like when accountability is dead.

@factpostnews Surprised by these comments at first, then I remembered we have a 30% illiteracy rate

21-year-old activist injured by ICE:
I will be blind for life. I have fractures in my skull that they can't fix. I can't sneeze or cough because it's dangerous to. They pulled a piece of plastic the size of a nickel out of my eye. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull. They said it was a miracle I survived.
English

@ExaltedFoks “But you asked how i was doing”
Nobody will argue with that. But it is kind of a one time use, they’re probably not asking again. Best used sparingly, as needed.

@paulg @PalmerLuckey Guys company relies on bootlicking the current admin, don’t think any of these responses are surprising
English

@PalmerLuckey Now as for these *multiple* false claims I've made, can you tell us what they were, and why they're false? And do please quote me, rather than making up stuff and attributing it to me.
