@askhasn Yes we have a few. Old trees from our parents time. Trees are big but it doesn't produce much fruit so it's not as popular as others.

In the hottest month of the year, the only trees on Male’ waterfront that provide the pedestrians with shade are uprooted and discarded.
@MTCCPlc and @MoCImv have no motive to keep the greenery.
Most trees planted on market area are dead.
Roads are for vehicles only it seems.

Several trees were uprooted for road expansion along Bodutharufaanu magu, #Malecity, #Maldives, are highly tolerant of high salinity, making them excellent choices for planting along roadsides after construction. Hope these uprooted trees are replanted after the road expansion.

Machine translation for low resource languages like Dhivehi is inherently challenging and imperfect, hallucinations and errors happen, just as they do with many other rare languages. @elonmusk’s xAI improves models over time through feedback and more data, not by magically hiring native speakers for every one of the world's 7,000+ languages. Wha you’re suggesting is unrealistic.
It will get dramatically better, approaching close to perfect as they scale data and compute, cause Grok is still very young, barely 2.5 years old since launch. If they disable it for Dhivehi now like you’re suggesting, it would never get better. In time, Grok will handle all 7,000+ languages (far beyond Google's current 249) close to perfection, but that only happens if translations stay enabled for Dhivehi and others, so users can rate them and help complete the improvements.
When we rate translations, it creates a direct feedback loop. They use those ratings plus corrections as high quality training data to fine tune the model. If we disable it for Dhivehi, it would never get better, precisely cause we're supposed to rate its translations, which will make them complete and accurate over time. It can even handle different dialects like Addu, Huvadhu, in time.

Just because the Maldives is a small country with a smaller language community doesn’t make Dhivehi disposable. Don’t demean us with these mangled, machine‑generated caricatures of our language. Trees on land allocated to Malé City Council such as municipal premises, public parks, and roadside reserves are council assets. If trees on council allocated land are removed without consent, the council must formally demand the legal authority, pass a council resolution, and escalate to oversight bodies. Any removal must be priorly justified by law, supported by environmental approval, and carried out transparently. Protecting urban trees is about protecting public health, climate resilience, and the living environment.
