@Mandy_Kerr AFAIK browsers should be consistent in terms of mapping font weights, assuming they adhere to the spec. The relevant part of the spec is #font-matching-algorithm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">drafts.csswg.org/css-fonts/#fon…. If you scroll a bit further down you'll find the`font-weight` section.

Is it documented somewhere how the different browsers map font weights? I’ve been doing some googling and not come up with anything useful Eg if there is no 500 weight does it load 400, 600 etc?

@ericclemmons @biomejs @boshen_c I could be misremembering, but you don't have to go all the way to eslint 9. You can still stay on 8 with the latest version of typescript-eslint, if you want to (temporarily) avoid all the flat config stuff.

Finished upgrading TypeScript from 5.2 to 5.4, just to find out that @⁠typescript-eslint needs upgrading to support it 🤦 But that means upgrading from ESLint v6 to v9. Instead, I'm now evaluating @biomejs & oxlint (@boshen_c) 😮‍💨

@levelsio While I'm sure that having a butcher cut up a steak right in front of you will be fresher than most stuff at a supermarket, a lower-waste future with more vac-packed meat is being held back by (often misguided) consumer opinion (red meat good, purple meat bad).

I keep seeing friends buy steak in the supermarket and then complain it's not good Supermarkets do not have good steak, they squish low quality meat in vacuum packaging so it can be sold longer This is not how a fresh steak is supposed to look Go to your local butcher instead
