I've been kicked off my local town's facebook group for being 'unfriendly' for pointing out some really unfriendly comments and racism.

@Gemolo_Gemma You can use soapbox or pleroma or GNUsocial or friendi.ca to create your own hosted social network, altering options or (if able) the code to meet your needs. A simpler way is to set-up a WordPress/BuddyPress subscription site using free and cheap extensions.

Insta uses. I need some advice please. It's for a project supporting vulnerable under 16s. - is there anyway to hide your followers? - is there anyway to turn off comments completely? - is there anyway to stop people liking a post?

@Gemolo_Gemma You could setup your own open source soapbox instance instead and control your system completely. soapbox.pub

@Gemolo_Gemma Setup as individual, not business, and you can limit things. Make page private, then only approved followers can see who else is following. Restrict comments to only people you follow, then follow nobody, which essentially switches off comments. That's as far as you'll get.

@DaveOCarroll People tell me whenever they see a brown(ish) person on TV. I get reports that people have watched 'The Chase' because Paul Sinha is the chaser. Then I get told I look like whichever brown person they've encountered. Because all that's relevant. And we all look the same.

People seem to always tell me when they're watching a show based in Ireland and want to know if I am too? Does this only happen to us Irish? Do Colombians have to endure a steady stream of "I'm watching Narcos" for example?

@charitychap If the reclamation period has expired, only option is re-register when it drops back into public availability. If it's sought after use a domain catching service, because you'll be competing with bots who'll register within milliseconds. Specifics dependent on the TLD.

Anyone got any experience in getting domains back that you accidentally let expire? Asking for a me.

@AndreaDiazCNN I've always scratched my head at people who think rice is hard to make. I knew folk who would buy tinned, cooked rice rather than make it.
