What's a gender neutral way for a parent to talk about their adult child?
If they say kid/child, ppl assume their child is like 7, but they're 24. This is such an important one and I'm all out of ideas.

Voice and tone is a thousand times more useful and usable than tone of voice. It allows a consistent brand personality to be present in content and means content can be appropriate and context-aware. Split them up. Give them the right job. Make them work for you and your users.

💯 Replace “design system” with “website” and this also holds true. Maintenance, especially of content, is woefully underfunded. As an agency owner who strongly believes in sustainability, I’d love to maintain the sites and style guides we make, but rarely get the opportunity.

Securing continuous funding is so important for a design system. I’d argue that building one without it does more harm than good. But it happens all the time. And I can’t help but wonder how much this is exacerbated by agencies promising to come in an build you a design system…
