@aspiredotdev @code Testing unhealthy or stuck container states locally is always a pain point. Having this visualization directly in the editor removes so much friction. It’s the little workflow improvements like this that make coding less stressful 🙂

@jaimesolis @github You can use Aspire entirely in local dev without touching existing deployments at all - that’s how we ease the minds of ops folks everywhere 😋 But having a strongly typed app model to hand off to ops when you make changes has been a life saver!

@github @aspiredotdev orchestration layers usually die when ops teams ignore them. what's the adoption hook here

A single app model and a simplified local run loop. This Open Source Friday, we'll learn about @aspiredotdev: a code-first orchestration and observability layer for distributed apps, with a built-in dashboard for logs, traces, and metrics. Set a reminder 🔔 gh.io/aspire

@bullbear_info @github We don’t try to replace a prod monitoring solution - there are a lot of really amazing tools out there already! We just give you the quick n dirty view so you know where to look when you open the big boy tools!!

@github @aspiredotdev Aspire dashboard is solid for local loops, but let's see how it behaves when the telemetry volume spikes in prod. 🛠️

It does!!! You can run your whole stack locally as if it was running in prod - and use the same apphost to test deploy to something like docker compose to sanity check in a clean environment - plus with the extra logging + telemetry it’s way easier to debug if something goes wonky!

@github @aspiredotdev Local run loops are great until the "it works on my machine" excuse hits production. Does Aspire actually solve the parity gap or just make the local setup prettier?

@ariell_xyz @github It sure can!!! Use Aspire to create your deployment assets for any deploy target - we don’t try to replace your prod runtime. Or, if your deployment process is already working perfectly, you can just use Aspire for local dev and we won’t get in the way of anything 💫

I've just integrated Aspire into our main project using Aspire Agent Skill. Looking forward to using it for debugging, troubleshooting, and monitoring in our next major release.

@aspiredotdev is absolutely amazing if you put the time in. Finally have our most complex workflows at work spanning API->Service Bus->WebJob, SignalR, CosmosDb and Azure SQL dependencies all working. Better yet, a full suite of setup helpers using Aspire Resource Builder
