With Swalwell in the race, it was a real shot the final 2 would be Bianco and Hilton, both Republicans. Still a chance but less likely if Eric is out of the race. Hence why I said earlier this week, Dems could have done this years ago, but they didn’t. Whole party is getting together on this to save the Governor race in CA. If he stayed in Congress and never ran for Governor, I guarantee none of this would have come out. Dems are as thick as thieves (because they are thieves) until it threatens key power nodes, then the knives come out. I would normally say a resignation is a lock but Eric is a weird guy.
