@astarmara

No idea how this thing works. Dreaming of mountains and wild places. Finding sanctuary in city wildlife. Silliness always helps.

@StuartKlinke Stunning picture and weather looking fantastic. Was looking over that way from the Stoer headland only 10 days ago... Missing the far North! Have a fantastic time! 😊

@gracepetrie Absolutely 100% this! Couldn't believe his face was in the top news spot this morning, with the special irony that HE was the reason Labour went in the wrong direction. Seriously, I think your timescale might be bloody right.

@_rossdavidson Homesick for Assynt & Coigach looking at these! Always draws you back. Wonderful scenes with that feel of being right in amongst them ❤️

@_rossdavidson Really did thank you. Now back at work in Manchester and questioning life choices as we normally do in the jarring transition days 😂 Rightmove not helping with Assynt property suggestions either 😂 Hope you've got a break to the hills coming soon 😊⛰️

@astarmara Tough to build the audience on a new platform though. Not sure what the answer is. More consistent posting probably. I tend to have internet breaks myself as well, usually when escaping in those hills for weeks at a time! Hope you enjoyed Assynt, it’s just wonderful!

Just 27 likes on my latest post, sharing four images from one of Scotland’s most spectacular and beautiful mountain areas - time to give up on X I think.

@_rossdavidson It's such a special one, camped up there once which was magic. This time it was freeezing with the North wind, but bright and beautiful! Plus had a pair of golden eagles circling over for an extra breathtaking touch! 😊

@theiaincameron When I first moved to Manchester I couldn't believe the number of variations! Went to the same sandwich shop once a week for 5 weeks, ordered a bun, barm, barmcake, cob and muffin - same outcome every time! Blew my mind!

For a previous employer I used to travel around the north west of England a lot. In Wigan a roll was a ‘barm’, and in Blackburn it was a ‘tea cake’. It was a minefield negotiating meals!

@_rossdavidson Ah I can almost feel the cold clear air and smell the peat from Manchester! Will be there in 3 weeks. Thanks for the taster!

I’ve been away for 6 weeks trying to get well so the Al Gore Rhythm is likely to show that tweet to approx 2 people & maybe their pets, but if you see it & your brain maybe likes it I’d love you to say hi. I’ll say hi back-honestly small good human connections are one of the things keeping me going just now 🌿

My depression’s severe & dark just now but talking to folk here gives me a sense of belonging which I really need to try to hold on to. Making this photo helped my brain & looking for the tiny silver owl hidden in it will help yours-the botanical fractals will dial ⬇️ stress & your brain will release dopamine if you find🦉:

Just realised that you can click 'Most recent' in the 'Following' tap and you actually see posts from people you follow. I had it on 'popular' without knowledge and all I was getting was guff.

Can you name the wild species that left these prints in the snow? 🐾 And for extra points, can you guess in which of our wild places they appeared?

@RobGMacfarlane Thank you for so many uplifting and interesting posts over the years. Word of the day was one of the reasons I joined Twitter (quite late to the game!). Will also set up on Bluesky, sad to see the demise of the blue bird here! 🐦 All the very best wishes to you x

Hello all. It’s my birthday today. In celebration of that I wanted to share my favourite photo from my 42nd spin around the sun. Lenticular clouds over Scarista beach on the Outer Hebrides. Turned pink by the setting sun. Not an evening I’ll forget for a long while 🩷 #scotland

The first time Charlie Chaplin spoke onscreen, he implored the people of the world to resist the rising tide of fascism. Nearly 90 years later, it remains a timely message.

It’s December so please enjoy a gift every day from now until Christmas Eve as I embark on #Tradvent Today, a tune that myself and @rossainsliemus wrote for my Dad on his 90th birthday. Played here on the banks of the River Glass, this is ‘Archie Chisholm’s 90th’ #Tradvent

@astarmara @natlandawards Hello! Thanks for your interest in the calendar. Unfortunately, I can’t print any more because it wouldn’t make sense for me financially. If you would like to support me, I’ve a very small number of Lake District calendars left remaining which are also lovely! On the website too
