Here we are approaching August 1 with 100s of schools without ATs… They are all calling @go4ellis Same issues: 1. Relied on outreach ATs for last 5+ yrs and now hospitals won’t pay ATs market rate so hospitals/pt clinics can’t provide these services. 2. ADs/hiring managers don’t know ATs have Master’s degree and salary/compensation packages are embarrassingly low. 🤦
Coaches - Stop teaching "hands on your head" for post-run recovery. It's been proven that hands on the knees is actually a better position. TIA.
First of all Secondary School ATs are without question the most important in our field. Fight me. They are the first line of medical support for student athletes, the first impression of ATs & often of the medical world. They are lifesavers, often doing it on their own. AT Goats
