Anxiety ruled my life for 23 years. Affecting every decision I made, every thought I had & ruined many things. Panicking over things that will most likely NEVER happen & being insecure about "Looking weird" Being Neurodivergent and being labelled as "weird", shamed for actions, verbally abused & being spoke down to by adults during childhood creates an overwhelming feeling of being in the wrong and a constant anxiety of doing something / being in the wrong when faced with verbal confrontation & decision making. Becoming passive, indirect & worrying about other peoples reactions triggering the "in trouble anxious feeling" as a young adult will DESTROY YOUR LIFE when integrating into an adult environment with other people. Anxiety isn't something you get rid of overnight but something you learn to use & co-exist with. Feeling anxious? Overthinking and convincing yourself of things happening? Use the energy that the anxiety gives you, that keeps you awake at night to do something for YOURSELF. It keeps you sharp, allows you to see every possible outcome & prepare yourself for the worst case scenario. Don't let it consume and impair you to the point of mental exhaustion, find a goal and use it to reach it. YOU ARE NOT IN TROUBLE. YOU ARE NOT A CHILD. PLANT YOUR FEET. WHO CARES IF YOU ARE WEIRD, WHAT THE FUCK IS EVERYONE ELSE DOING THAT IS SO GREAT? Make mistakes, learn from them, that is better than doing NOTHING & learning NOTHING. No one spawns in at the top knowing EVERYTHING. Do ANYTHING to improve your confidence & remove anything that affects it. Self reflect at the end of every decision. Don't let anxiety stop you from doing anything. I have identified this passive, indirect & avoidant fault and removed it from my decision making. I will not let the feeling of anxiety, "getting it wrong" and "being in trouble" prevent me from expressing myself. Anxiety is EXTREMEMLY present in people, now more than ever, and if you don't use it to get where want to go. You will never be free from it. I had many extreme anxiety inducing experiences over the past year and without anxiety would never fixed them.
