⚔️🇵🇰 A young Pakistani soldier named Nadeem Akhtar, who belonged to Sukkur Lakhi, was traveling home on Eid leave from Quetta to Sukkur by Jaffar Express train. He was excitedly planning to celebrate Eid at home — to sacrifice the animal with his father, take the kids along, and enjoy the festival with family. Unfortunately, the soldier returned home in a coffin. The funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) of the brave soldier from Sukkur Lakhi has been offered.

Today marks 40 years since I graduated from The Wharton School with MBA on 19th May 1986, a milestone that fills me with gratitude, reflection, and humility. My journey at Wharton was not an easy one. It was a period of intense struggle, hard work, and perseverance. I carried a full academic course load while also working weekends at the library and managing two teaching assistantships to support my studies and living expenses. There were moments when the pressure felt nerve-breaking. Yet, keeping my eyes fixed on the end goal gave me the strength, energy, and resolve to carry on. That experience taught me one of life’s most enduring lessons: great achievements are rarely born out of comfort. They are shaped through sacrifice, discipline, resilience, and clarity of purpose. Wharton was far more than an academic institution for me. It broadened my intellectual horizons, sharpened my analytical thinking, and instilled in me the values of leadership, excellence, strategic thinking, and service. The exposure to global ideas and world-class scholarship deeply influenced my professional and public journey. Over the decades whether contributing to national development strategies, economic reforms, educational initiatives, or public service as a Parliamentarian and a Federal Minister, I have continuously drawn upon the lessons and perspectives shaped during those formative years. As I reflect on this 40-year milestone, I remain deeply grateful to my teachers, mentors, colleagues, friends, and family whose support made the journey possible. Most importantly, this experience reinforced my belief that education has the power not only to transform individual lives, but also to change the destiny of nations. Forty years later, the journey of learning still continues. @WhartonAlumni @Wharton

They’re 3 sisters constantly spying on me by asking my cousins about my future plans, specialization, career… ajeeb just so they can start convincing my parents again to accept their ghatiya proposal. Why is it so hard for some people to accept that no means no? ajeeeeb
