“China right now is in deep distress. You have a failing economy, a collapsing demography, and a very unhappy population.” — @GordonGChang reveals why Chinese President Xi Jinping finds himself in an ‘inferior position’ despite hosting talks with President Trump on his home turf @RickSantorum @BiancaDLGarza

Today, we were honored to have productive and wide-ranging meetings with the Ethiopian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Gedion Timotheos @GHessebon , for the U.S. Ethiopia Bilateral Structured Dialogue. We had constructive conversations about the Nile River and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. We also discussed international efforts to facilitate a humanitarian truce and achieve durable peace in Sudan, as well as our shared commitment to promoting regional stability, including Red Sea maritime security. Today was also an important opportunity for discussions on bilateral economic and commercial issues, including promoting U.S. investments.

Today, Under Secretary for Political Affairs Allison Hooker @UnderSecStateP and Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gedion Timotheos @GHessebon formalized the Bilateral Structured Dialogue Framework, which will guide future cooperation. The signing of this document renews and strengthens the relationship between the two countries. This dialogue advanced the President’s goal of expanding U.S. commercial access to Africa while setting the stage for future engagements.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Only stupid countries don’t shoot back when you’re shot at. And we’re not a stupid county. The redline is clear – if Iranian boats threaten Americans, they’re going to get blown up. 🔥🔥🔥

Ethiopia was much better under Mellese Zenawi.🕊
