Today’s meeting stands as a confirmation that Cyprus and India are not simply strengthening bilateral ties.
We are building a partnership with strategic depth and global relevance. For our countries, our peoples, and for our respective regions.
A partnership built on trust and on the conviction that dialogue and cooperation, not confrontation, is the path forward.
Because nations like ours do not pave the way to the future through walls and divisions. We do it through building Bridges. Through Dialogue. Through Cooperation and Growth.
For Cyprus and India.
For Europe and India.
For the centuries behind us and the future ahead of us.

For years, India's opposition believed India's overwhelming diversity is ultimately incompatible with Modi's rule, and it will naturally backfire.
Instead, Modi's party captured a massive win. The opposition should learn from its latest loss, @bill_drexel writes.

Thank German Ambassador to the U.S. Jens Hanefeld and the Gate Group for a wonderful evening at the Ambassador’s residence, and the following evening, the Gala in support of GIS in Washington, D.C.
Afterward, I visited the Founder and Executive Director of the Center on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Policy (CAIDP), Marc Rotenberg, at the organisation’s office. CAIDP is doing remarkable work studying the implications of widespread AI diffusion on democracies around the world.
This visit also offered a chance to continue ongoing, nearly year-long dialogues at Brookings and PIIE.

Great meeting Ford Motor Company’s Executive Chair, Bill Ford. Beyond his work at Ford, Bill co-founded Fontinalis Partners, a reputable early-stage investor at the intersection of mobility, industrial innovation, and frontier tech. Happy to hear his insights on the future of transportation, supply chains, geoeconomic fragmentation and regional industrial policies.

Almost four years ago, when I first pivoted to investing, How to Invest by David M. Rubenstein helped shape my “judgment,” which, as a former policy advisor, he insists should be drawn from a variety of disciplines and life at large.
His work illustrated that politics, policy, and power were not a detour from investing, but the point.
Four years on, that insight holds truer than I could have anticipated. It has guided me to invest across India and the U.S., and to build Purus Research at the intersection of critical technologies, supply chains, and national security, underwriting a geoeconomic thesis in the Indo-Pacific.
So it is no platitude to say it was an honour to spend the evening with Carlyle Co-Founder David M. Rubenstein. Thank you for your counsel on Purus, on reading character, on the world, and on what a twenty-one-year-old ought to be doing with his time.

A woman is allegedly seen losing her cool on Maharashtra cabinet minister Girish Mahajan, over the traffic snarl caused by the BJP morcha in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. This was during a protest march on the issue of the Women's Reservation Bill. She was heard asking the minister to protest on a ground, and not hold up the traffic by marching on the streets. The opposition hit out at the BJP while appreciating the woman.

A pleasure to join the reception hosted by Renew Democracy Initiative’s Chairman, Garry Kasparov.
The Emissary Network is a proud institutional partner and is committed to delivering for democracies around the world along with partners such as RDI.
It was also a delight to exchange thoughts on global developments with those who have championed democratic values, including John Bolton, former U.S. National Security Advisor; Chrystia Freeland, Economic Advisor to President Zelenskyy and former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada; U.S. Senator Mark Kelly; Ugandan Opposition Leader Bobi Wine; and U.S. Congressmen, among others.
Thank Garry for facilitating this great evening.
