Tauri is not working reliably across all Linux machines because the system WebView/runtime setup differs a lot between distros. I’m experimenting with Linux builds that bundle CEF directly with Athas to make the app more predictable to run.

man, the new @linear review feature is actually good. I can finally work with 10k+ line diffs. still laggy in a few places but miles ahead of GitHub and Graphite.

@athasdev I tried it but I can't open folders( Omarchy Linux, x86_64 Both the release and compiling locally didn't open folders Otherwise seems to be good

@weswinder Yeah! But a solution is on the way. The solution is not bundling full chromium for every app you have on your computer in my opinion! It's either Tauri or native for me.

@manashanand2 It depends on what you're doing. Building an IDE to work cross-platform is tricky because you have to correctly setup paths, terminals, etc. Other than that Tauri lets you do a lot of the stuff faster

@athasdev very new to this but if tauri doesn't work on each distro the same way then development get's very hard and what about the .exe app is it behave wierdly in different distro?

@athasdev Oh man, so many issues here with Frame on linux... I'm basically rewriting whole preview engine in rust because of WebKitGTK unreliability 🤡
