Emirates check-in was dead quiet... Pax got nervous thinking maybe the flight was cancelled or something, but nope… the plane is genuinely almost empty. Pax-to-flight-attendant ratio feels like 1:1...
IMO: the regional tensions are obviously making people avoid flying through the Middle East right now... understandable, but it makes for the most comfortable long-haul you'd have in ages.

Emirates update: after temporary suspension/diversions, they’re resuming a limited schedule at Dubai Airport from 10:00 local time today. Some flights canceled due to the ongoing drone-related airspace issues.... re-accommodation offered to affected passengers.
IMO: it’s frustrating for travelers, but Emirates is handling it transparently and trying to get things back on track as fast as possible

A Qatar resident posted today about QR893 Beijing Daxing–Doha: a 300+ seat plane with only ~20+ passengers total (2 in Business), one captain and one cabin crew. Passenger wrote “Life is as usual, just fewer people around”.. reassuring that things are still running normally despite the quiet.
It’s a calm, grounded take... travel is quieter right now, but life goes on smoothly and fuller flights are on the way.
