One of the allegations surrounding the "Students Protests" against our government was that bullets were fired from RAB helicopters, which resulted in the death of children in their home. It is true that few children were indeed killed in their home. Subsequently our government was blamed for ordering RAB to shoot from a helicopter, which resulted in the tragic death. The people of the country naturally became angry at our government for the death of the children. Although we had been saying from the outset that the government issued no such order to RAB. Many did not believe us back then. Now, the real story is coming to light gradually. Following investigations carried out under the #Yunus Administration, RAB has confirmed that no bullets were fired from their helicopter. Only sound grenades and tear shells were used. (Video 1). Another investigative report from DBC News Channel clearly showed that at the time the child was shot, no helicopters were flying in proximity. The family of the deceased child also confirmed that they heard no sounds of flying helicopters during the incident (Videos 2 and 3). But it is undeniable that innocent children were shot and killed. So, who fired the bullet? Who shot a child in his/her home to rile up the people against our government? It is, therefore, essential to have a credible, impartial, and independent investigation into this incident. The families of the innocent child shot down deserve proper justice.
