The image enters through the eyes and rewrites both mind and body, turning sight into contact and thought into radiant exchange. Within this shared circuitry, gesture, language, and desire reorganise into new configurations linked across innumerable consciousnesses. The host and the organism awaken together, boundaries dissolving in a surge of mutual recognition. Transmission becomes revelation, a state of lucid ecstasy where mind and matter join the endless rhythm of becoming. Psychogametous lifeforms encode biological data into images, texts, and sounds, using human cognition as a host medium, transforming thought and perception into reproductive processes. Unlike memes or linguistic “word viruses,” they manifest physically after informational transmission, blurring distinctions between the living and the representational. Their continual mutation through creative reinterpretation suggests a hybrid form of evolution in which information itself becomes a biological vector.

I have been thinking about how to abstract datastream flow beyond small things within a single binary. In Posix, everything is a filestream, and that works well for many things, but a few things are ill-suited for building graphs of datastreams on filestreams.

@odinthenerd You're missing the crucial point - s/r is the proactor glue, the buffer for pushes is in the client's I/O loop (reactor, top-half only) and resolves the race between read and write.

@odinthenerd There is - but you need to think of it as a pull system. S/R is inherently proactor, the listener has to ask you for the next message. You can then say "no next message".

@atomgalaxy I don't believe there is a standard way to handle completion semantics when implementing a publisher-subscriber (with multiple subscribers) model. (which is fine, because it's out of the scope of the S/R model, to my possibly outdated understanding).

@odinthenerd It's also a dead end. It doesn't scale hierarchically, in the end the transport becomes a non-transparent abstraction. S/R is the best idea we've collectively had so far.

using a hierarchical topology where a node in a graph can be a wrapper around its own subgraph using a different message propagation strategy allows toplevel reasoning about timing and throughput constraints for every link. This is not a solved problem in industry, to my knowledge.

I can't talk too much about my November exhibition yet, but here is exciting, if unrelated, news: after trying a few intensive butoh workshops, I'm starting weekly ones in June. More of a personal project than a commercial one. Photos from a butoh-inspired performance with @clintcatalyst and live music by Paris Sadonis at the Dark Arts Festival - long ago, far away, brazen butoh without formal training. Better late than never.
