@KenCatchpole ...further I'm just in fresh contact with a major NHS body that wants to develop a faculty to spread HF across their region but 'have no money'! Yet the costs of avoidable error just spiral. the cost versus the value - the same old paradox. I almost despair, but not yet.

@KenCatchpole Hi Ken, nothing wrong with the science, it's the application. I am still training and having rooms full of people who know zero about HF! Keep it up but there are so many at management level who still don't get it!

@nialldowney After 20 + years working within healthcare I still cannot get it! Just why?? Why can’t they act professionally? It needs, unfortunately, someone high up to be made an example of. That brings me no pleasure.

While healthcare management continue to prioritise institutional reputations over patients and staff, we are going nowhere Tom. This predisposes us to unreported errors and staff burnout. Adverse event statistics haven’t changed in the 50 years we have been recording them.
