I attended the APC North West Zonal Congress in Kaduna alongside Governors, National Assembly leadership, Ministers, and party stakeholders. A strong show of unity and alignment as we continue to support the Renewed Hope agenda and strengthen the party’s leadership across the region. #apc #renewedhopeagenda #hannatumusawa

🇳🇬 JUST IN: Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, Rejects Amnesty for “Repentant Terrorists,” Says Force Is the Only Solution and Calls for Decisive Military Action Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has declared that appeasement and goodwill gestures cannot end terrorism in the country, insisting that only decisive force will produce lasting results. Speaking at the Nigerian Armed Forces’ inaugural lecture at the Joint Doctrine Centre in Abuja, he stated, “No amount of goodwill gesture or appeasement will end terrorism in Nigeria. It can never be a comprehensive solution compared to decisive kinetic action.” He warned that terrorist groups exploit peace initiatives, adding, “They will simply exploit these initiatives whenever it benefits them. Terrorists never surrender out of remorse.” According to him, such groups only lay down their arms when they are overwhelmed. “They lay down their arms only when they are facing certain defeat, and suddenly, they claim to be repentant,” he said. Footage from the event shows General Oluyede addressing an audience of senior military officers and civilians, including personnel from the army, air force, and other branches gathered in a large auditorium.

*TIME, THE FINAL HURDLE: THE ROAD TO 2027 IN KADUNA POLITICS* By: Hon @AminuAbuzayd As the political atmosphere in Kaduna State gradually tilts toward the 2027 elections, one sentiment continues to echo across conversations, both online and offline: the growing confidence surrounding the re-election prospects of Governor @ubasanius. From policy direction to political alignment, the current administration has steadily positioned itself in a way that suggests continuity rather than uncertainty. For supporters, the equation appears simple the only thing standing between the governor and another term in office is time. Across social media platforms, especially on the ever-vibrant timelines (TL), anticipation is building. Supporters express optimism, while critics remain active, often retreating into closed circles and WhatsApp groups where narratives are shaped, reshaped, and sometimes exaggerated. Yet, as history has shown, the true test of political strength lies not in digital echo chambers but at the ballot box. The opposition’s confidence, while expected in any democratic setting, appears increasingly disconnected from the broader political reality on the ground. The claims, projections, and reassurances exchanged in private groups may provide temporary comfort, but they face an inevitable confrontation with voter sentiment when the time comes. There is also an emotional dimension to this unfolding scenario. For many observers, the eventual outcome of the 2027 elections is already predictable, and the reactions that will follow particularly from those who underestimated the political machinery in place are expected to be intense. Some even anticipate that the outpouring of reactions on social media will be both overwhelming and, for supporters, satisfying. However, beyond the rhetoric and anticipation lies a deeper truth about politics: elections are not won in conversations alone, but through strategy, performance, and connection with the people. If current trends hold, then the countdown to 2027 may simply be a waiting game rather than a contest of uncertainty. In the end, time will tell and when it does, the narratives built in silence may dissolve under the weight of reality. @Abdool85 @MS_Kure @OzoMusty @Omojuwa @BashirAhmaad @BashirSZuntu @Better_Kaduna

Following the successful conclusion of the APC North-West Zonal Congress and Election in Kaduna, that I had the honour to host, I am deeply encouraged by the spirit of unity, discipline, and democratic responsibility displayed by delegates and stakeholders across the zone. The auspicious gathering stands as a clear affirmation of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a party rooted in inclusion, strengthened by grassroots participation, and guided by transparency and fairness. The orderly conduct and credible outcomes of the Congress reflect not only the institutional maturity of our Party, but also a shared commitment to consolidating its internal cohesion and democratic integrity. I extend my sincere appreciation to my brother governors, distinguished party leaders, and delegates whose presence and contributions enriched the process. I also warmly welcome Governors Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State and Dauda Dare Lawal of Zamfara State into our fold. Their alignment with our Party underscores a growing consensus around our shared vision and further reinforces the strategic importance of the North-West within the national political landscape. We remain steadfast in our support for our great Leader, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and his Renewed Hope Agenda, which continues to advance bold reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening institutions, and laying the foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth. As we move forward, we must build on this momentum: deepening unity, sustaining discipline, and working collectively toward a stronger Party and a more prosperous Nigeria. Sometimes artists, producers, A&Rs and music business professionals need to step back and actually study the game. Not just what’s trending, but how the business really works. I recently watched an episode of the @afropolitan Podcast titled “Why Spotify & Apple Own Afrobeats (And How We Lose)” featuring @Audu and the level of insight in that conversation was eye-opening. From ownership structures to global monetization gaps, it really breaks down where we are winning and where we are leaving money and control on the table. More people in the ecosystem need to engage with conversations like this. Because understanding the business is just as important as making the music.

We keep designing for the top. Premium this. Luxury that. Meanwhile, the majority can't access the basics. The question every nation should ask: What can we provide for $1 a day? Not what can we sell to the wealthy. What can we make accessible to everyone? @Audu

Jay-Z built stakeholders. Diddy built an audience. One has people who will defend him when everything falls apart. The other has fans who disappear. @Audu Maikori breaks down the difference between community and clout.

It’s now clear that no matter how naturalised you are in the US, no matter how many years you lived there, and not even with a Green or Blue Passport, you can still be deported to your original home country,at anytime they feel obliged to do so.That’s fine.
